"Wili Weber...(Michael Schumachers manager of ? years)......has "advised" FA that he would not be making the smartest move by leaving McLaren, so i would like to know how many agree with that assumption??

Yep, I agree. FA should stay with McLaren and stop burning bridges. He looks very unprofessional at present - if he leaves the Woking outfit, who'll want him then?

If you want to be the top driver, why leave the top team?!

If Alonslow wants to save his already ruined reputation, he needs to sit down, shut up, get his head down and do his talking on the track. If he's going to beat our Lewis, he's going to have to start thinking like Lewis.

Renault would welcome him back... get rid of Fisi... keep Heikki... Alonso will feel 'loved' but be in a lesser car than the Mclaren... but will be No.1 driver... which seems to be what he wants...

MMmm. He didnt feel loved at renault last year. He moaned that he felt all alone trying to win the championship. Poor boy. Maybe last years 'all alone' was better than this years......and of course his team-mate was usually slower than him  Cant see it will do him much good to leave Mclaren tho, it will just look like he's running away.

I agree that leaving macca wouldnt be smart for Fernando but i find it funny and that no one found it odd he compared Alonso's situation with mr Number 1 driver or else M Schumi

With Heidfeld and Kubica signed up at BMW for next season there is nowhere Alonso can go that will provide him with a chance of regular race wins never mind championships. It is uncertain whether or not Renault are capable of improving and BMW are a year or two away from being championship contenders, so his only viable option is to stay with McLaren. To do that, he needs to stop huffing and start working with the team.

Must be why Flavio's buying out QPR then, so he can guarantee Alonso a starting place in the first team and at the same time ditch Fizzy by giving him a job as a ball boy. :P

True, but the point is every other decent team is full. He would have to spend several years in the wilderness, and there is the chance he might not get out of it. His best bet is to stay with McLaren for the short to medium term.
