I think he's mellowed over the past year and is more chilled out these days, doesn't whinge so much anymore - only when totally justified like last year when he and practically everybody in the universe complained about Piquet's super-flukey podium at Hockenheim.

This is my first season really watching F1, always loved it and would catch it here or there but this season have been watching religiously. I used to watch IndyCar all the time back when it was CART. I tried watching an IndyCar race a couple weeks back after watching F1 and it was painful, couldn't watch the whole thing. No matter what happens, F1 is still the most exciting MotorSport out there.

I have to say that for us newbs it isn't as boring as everyone likes to think. Could it be better? It always can... But JB does a great job and watching him drive is great to see what these cars can do when they are driven smoothly. Also the fact that there is a recognizable "star" helps the new folks identify and root for someone when we don't know much about the inner workings of the sport.



The BBC also does a pretty good job of following the action and not always the leader. I think the Turkish GP was a pretty good race. Watching Rubens making his run before he retired was a lot of fun to watch (man can he drive). Also watching the few laps where Vettel was sparring with JB was pretty good too. And then the drama with Vettel being told by his team that Webber is faster so just slow down and it made him push even harder was great fun to watch too. Lewis Hamilton did some fine driving as well.

The Off-Track drama isn't as good, but it does give me something to stay current with between GPs.

If a driver on the grid scores 61 points from a possible 65 points and people still go around claiming the season so far to be enjoyable they need their heads checked.

It does not bother me that Alonso is struggling, he is actually two points better off compared to this time last year. What bothers me is the preposterous rule changes to the aerodynamics!

The result is that one team decided on a 5-6 month longer 2009 season development program compared to other teams, made a car that is top class while at the same time overtaking issues remain as cars still lose downforce behind other cars and then of course tyre temp making the previously faster car slower.

So have the new rules worked? I am of the opinion they have failed miserably to improve the action in F1, instead we have a driver/team dominating. And the rules managed to make the once beautiful F1 cars f**king ugly in the process.

Only in Oxfordshire, Silverstone and Hinwil. Brackley, Woking, Milton Keynes et. al have produced much prettier cars.

Yes mam I will agree with you on those points. I guess I'm just weird in the sense that I find everything about F1 exciting no matter what.

Dare I say it, how were you people in 96 when Damon looked to be on target... then he had a wobble and Jacques caught him right up. The same thing could easily happen this season. I know some people would be very happy to have their team in the same position as Brawn.

To be honest I feel a lil ashamed of meself coz I dont seem to care that ferrari isnt winning but more happy that mclaren is in the dumpster at the back somewhere. Maybe about time I see a shrink is what i expect racechick to say to me about now.
