But you have to admit that we don't see drivers going all out for the win any more; looking back to the 1994-95 when Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher were going at it hammer and tongs often colliding resulting in one or both being taken out of the race, Adelaide '94 springs to mind; that was exciting racing; and regular mechanical failures added unpredictability. It may have been a two horse race but it was exciting to watch. the new 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points system has meant that drivers going for the win at any cost has all but evaporated. I believe we should revert back to the 10-6-4-3-2-1 points, that'll encourage overtaking!

1994 another year. :rofl: OOOO I'm being outrageous...

I got this one right; I was referring to the two seasons of 1994 and 1995... when Hill was at Williams and Schumacher at Bennetton.

Oh no your right about the years, im just saying 94 was another attempt by the FIA to manufacturer a title fight.

OK, my misunderstanding; if the FIA did manufacturer the season; it worked and it was exciting to watch; throw in the random engine and mechanical failures and it makes for an interesting season, we genuinely didn't know who was going to be standing on the top step of the podium.

I cant believe important people are saying Jenson's dominance is bad.
He hasnt made a single mistake! furthermore, their car was approved by the FIA, so all that can be said is the best man and team won.

The only BAD thing for F1 this yr has been the ridiculous tug-rope crap between the FIA and FOTA.

Its Ecclestone's damn rules that have caused this to happen, he has nobody to blame but himself. If he wants to make the sport more exiting, he needs to hand control over to someone who actually knows racing and go back into pencil sales. The rules only mixed up the grid because some teams started engineering their cars well before others, by next year, all the usual suspects will be back on top.

my Verdict;

Jenson's winning is awesome in the fact of he's British in which is bringing our spirits up in this tough economic time. But in the fact of action and unpredictability, it's dumb and retarded to be honest. We all knew he would win that race, i find qualifying allot more exciting than the race? Then he has not only clinched one raced he ha clinched 6? A of you hate Michael Schumacher for the pure fact of he dumbed down the sport and made it too predictable and too boring? So look at 2003 or 2004 and watch them? it's the same right here, right now! the only difference is that Michael did have to fight with Juan fighting him all the way and Jenson cropping up once or twice! I just want a hard well fought battle :banghead:

Bernie would be surprised to hear you say that, since Max is the one whose responsible for the rules.

It's good to see Button doing well in a decent car finally but I'd much rather see a battle for the wins than what we're seeing atm but it's up to the other teams to catch up. I'd say all the offtrack nonsense and politics going on just now is worse for the image of F1 and is more damaging though.

But you have to admit they were crap :thumbdown:
I just want Webber or Vettel to bring a challenge :thumbdown:

Button Vs. Webber would be immense :thumbup:
