Honda started the post-turbo era with the V10 and then built a V12 for 1991. Tyrrell got their hands on McLaren's V10's for 1991 as a result of Alesi's performances and the brilliant chassis designed by Uncle Ken and Harvey Postlethwaite.

I thought Renault were the first to make the V10s while others went the V12 route after the turbo ban? Honda didnt make a V10 til 92 or there abouts.
