Yeah I prefer 3 sessions to one big one in qualifying.
But 1 lap used to be interesting.

'From what I understand, with refueling gone, Q3 will be like Q2, on fumes. Then they fill the tank to the gills for the race.'

With no re-fuelling next year I guess that this would be the case?

Can't help thinking its a tad pointless.

Cyberslap

After winning 5 out of 6 races so far this season, you must be one confident lad to say BrawnGP (or Jenson for WDC) wont win it this year :wavey:

I guess we do share a common interest, no?

The margin Brawn has is certainly getting smaller. I mean they clearly have the most consistent but the other cars are catching up. Also Button is able to somehow steal pole at the end of quali. The thing is though surely it is rather easy on the car to be out front. The Brawn's have never really hade any big scraps except Webber vs Button in China in which Webber came out on top. We saw Michael Schumacher do the same thing at Ferrari when Mclaren and Williams had very competitive cars. In Monaco we saw Rubens struggling with tyre wear and I'm sure on an open track that Brawn car would have been passed by the Ferrari. And when cars behind the Brawns are in their own scraps they lose a second or two a lap. I just hope that one team can step up and really challenge the Brawns to make the season even more exciting.

Button doesn't somehow get pole. He uses skill and talent.

What I meant was that he somehow snatches pole away when it looks dead and buried after he himself has had poor previous runs etc.

I would think that is because he was truelly not pushing the car during Q1-Q2, ie sandbagging and trying not to fluff it up. Q3 is the most important anyway and he knows that yet also we are witnessing his true skill's behind the wheel.
