I have no problems with Williams not being a part of FOTA. As Sir Frank Williams said, they have obligations to Ecclestone, the FIA, their sponsors etc. What I do have problems with, however, has been Williams' attitude recently. Okay, perhaps they didn't agree with FOTA's line and/or wanted to look out for their own interests, but they should have left FOTA quietly. Instead, Patrick Head has been constantly divulging the internal affairs of FOTA, which has dented the organisation's influence. Very poor form from Williams.

Yes, Head is such a Richard :banghead:

Wouldn't it have been better to keep all this behind closed doors instead of FOTA, FOM and the FIA having a public slanging match? It's unfair to blame Patrick Head exclusively when all sides have been using the press to promote their own case. Politics should stay out of the limelight; let the action on the track do the public talking!

There's nothing wrong with using the press to your advantage, but the fact of the matter is that Williams were a member of FOTA at the time and were continuously blabbing about the organisation's internal affairs, which is wholly unacceptable.

I don't believe that teams/organisations should be airing their dirty laundry in public; either keep it behind closed doors or just leave the sport instead of all these empty threats. In the last couple of years F1 has become "Court-Room-F1" - more time in the court house than on the track, I want to see racing, not lawyers!

Would this soften your stance against courts? :hehe:

It would definitely make for more attractive viewing...
Maybe we should have attractive women in charge of F1 teams... bet that'll get more men watching F1!
/If my wife asks; I didn't say that

I didn't realise that, maybe they are starting to feel like F1's poorer cousins... What BRAWN GP did this year is something Williams used to do rather well, they could be quite jealous and lashing out...
