Hi :wavey:

McLaren have been making step-by-step modifications to their diffuser from the point when it was first declared totally legal to use a double-decker design. They did use one in Moncaco but it had already run on the car in Spain and Bahrain and I think China but not sure. For technical updates, keep checking this site,

Hi thanks for fast reply, as i am aware they are using an interim diffuser atm. I was under the imprestion red bulls car was one of the hardest cars to implement the df to yet they seem to have achieved this before mclaren. I was wondering if any one else noticed this or maybe they are going to do a Brawn/Honda on us? :)

Well I think McLaren have had problems for a long time with the rear end of their car as they were using the 2008 spec wing in testing for a long time in order to try and generate the levels of downforce that their 2009 wing was failing to produce. i would imagine that they are not in a position to make any massive changes to that are of the car as they have not quite optimised its existing components and setup. The small modifications to McLaren's diffuser likely indicate that they are trying to integrate it into their existing aero package whereas Red Bull have undertaken a more comprehensive re-design. This may have been a reckless move imo...

Hi and welcome!
What do you mean by doing a Brawn/Honda on us?

You'd think they'd be advised to do that wouldn't you. i think i would at this point, maybe after Turkey because we've had a few strange races so far. i don't think McLaren are in favour of the 40 million cap but Mecedes are keen on staying in F1 so McLaren can't very well come out and threaten to quit. They are also trying to play nice with the FIA at the moment so staying relatively neutral is what i think they are trying to do
