What with all the politics surrounding the hungarian grand prix did people notice that the race was kinda boring? Lewis led from the front and kimi couldn't get close enough to even attempt an overtake which would have been hard anyway due to the track design. I think that its time to drop tracks like hungary and monaco from the calendar that do nothing of offer good racing for fans.

What do you all think?

I say keep both tracks because : Since there are less then 10% chance of passing on these tracks, most of the racing will be done in Q3 and here's the interesting part.., wasn't the whole "pit-fiasco" entertaining?? no doubt we will see more of that but in a different form. Maybe someone's right foot will be cut off in a robbery on their way to the track. Since there's no right foot, you can't push the accelerator, so you will have to be delegated to the back of the grid. Weird sh*t has happened this season, why not this?? :D

If there's any track that needs booting it's got to be Catalunya, there's NEVER been an exciting race there since 1991 and 1992.

Ah yeah, forgot about that one :), at least the 2001 had the shock of Hakkinen's engine blowing on the last lap.

The 1991 race was by far the best though... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VIrRLCgKEEc

You CAN'T drop Monaco!! That's the most famous track in all of auto-racing. That's like saying drop Yankee stadium from baseball because it's not colorful enough. Never will happen.

What I do think is piss poor is the fact we won't be having a US Grand Prix next year. I've been to two US Grand Prix's and they are great times. Every driver they have interviewed has loved racing at Indy and it is a very fast paced, low downforce track. Again, what a shame.

I agree, Monaco might not have the most action but it is a classic and it gives slower cars with fast drivers a chance.

Maybe there could be a US GP somewhere else though.

Yeah i know monaco is glamarous and allows the sport to showcase itself to people that otherwise would not watch f1 but it is a boring race. no place to overtake and generally the pole sitter wins the race barring any unforeseen technical problems with the car. Maybe Monaco can build a racetrack that would make the race more entertaining

What Monaco needs is some hot topless girls placed strategically at slow corners (are there any fast ones?) around the track so that some drivers get distracted and kiss the armco (and maybe that particular girl as a consolation prize). That way it wouldn't be as crowded after a few laps and passing maneuvers could be successful.
