The doomsday scenario is also a possibility. Both series could turn out to be lacklustre affairs, with an over-regulated and sanitised F1 on one hand and a corporate demonstration GPWC exercise on the other. But that situation is still relatively unlikely at this point.

This, from A vision of F1 2010 by Hugh Podmore, is exactly what will happen as it has happened before. It is how the US got IRL and Cart. What a mess that still is. And quite frankly I want a big super money championship. Indy this weekend looks like my local PCA event compared to F1, with there rented engines and pop-up tents (rather than pop-up glossy cities that make a statement). Give me everything, the glamour, the lights, the glossy everything and the good racing will follow. Part of the love of F1 is the teams and their ability to rise above all others for not just technical prowess but funding, style and bravado.

Give you everything, the glamour, the lights, the politics, the spying, the lying, the scandals, the spankings, do I need to list more.

Not to mention the winning teams being the ones who spend the most ie. McLaren and Ferrari being in contention for the title every year.

EVERY year???? Have you watched this season? And what about the biggest spender Toyota? Not even close to being in title contention.

I was referring to the last two years. This year is the exception thanks to the new regulations but Ferrari are climbing back to the top. McLaren's car is so bad not even money will fix it.

That's what I'm talking about - spending money doesn't mean you win. So let them spend the money. If they can raise it, they can spend it. Braun most likely spends far less that the big guys and we know where they stand this year. Next Year will be different. Ferrari may have been dominant w/ Schumi and they may have out spent everyone else but I believe 60-70% of that was Shumi and a lack of overall competition, not just money. A cap will just hold F1 back and limit it from truly being the pinnacle of the sport.

Yes, More More More. That is of course if you spend enough money and (and this is a big AND) you're a good looking female. :whip::whip::censored::wink:
