It's good that all the team bosses have had the sense to unify their position over the indiscriminate and bullying proposals by the FIA.
Whatever our thoughts may be regarding the capping proposals, it is down to the constructors to agree or disagree and to be consulted. This shows at last a joint strength which can only be good for the sport. I for one hope that eventually there will be a major change to the political structure and that the old, fat, rich bureaucracy, who have more money than sense, get the sack.
Lets dump the excess and start 2010 with a fresh administration, maybe more adept at moving the sport forward than lining their own pockets.
Sport is sport, not a commercial proposition to be dumped when it is no longer economically viable.

It is very important and good that all F1 teams are united. F1 is the main auto sport disciple in the world, and it would be a shame to see some poor body's to spoil it. F1 is science not just about two cars, but about all automotive technology in the world. I like what Flavio said - it would we just the same, as discount shop on a luxury shop street.

The rules must be clear and equal for everybody. Like for this year - somebody may have KERS somebody not. It is unbelievable that FIA allows such rules. How much they throw out this year by KERS development? And in the end we have three different championships in F1 - cars with KERS (Ferrari, McLaren, sometime Renault), cars with no KERS, but with diffusers and cars with no KERS and no diffusers.

Excellent news if true. They must stand 100% side by side on this and tell MM No to the limit he is proposing. But they must be reasonable and demonstrate that they are not against capping per-se, but its the amount that is not realistic,

Patrick Head is a decent guy, but he should shut his face. FOTA are trying to get the best deal for the teams, so Head revealing the organisation's internal affairs is hardly going to help the teams' negotiating position. It's like playing Poker with your opponent knowing what cards you have.

Some teams (BMW in particular) are more botherted about the way F1 is governed than the budget cap. Think they have a point!

this cost capping thing is a great opportunity to sort out how this sport is governed. The key is not to bow to pressure from Max and Bernie and their threats of lawsuits and stay unified. Understandably, the smaller teams want the cost cap but their commitment should be 100% aligned with FOTA and not the FIA because in the long run they will screw you over.

Look at Ferrari in 2005. They broke away from the rest of the teams and went with the FIA/FOM and committed to F1 till 2012. Now Luca is regretting that decision because Max is holding the strongest hand in this dispute yet again.
