Hey I have a couple of questions if anyone knows let me know... thanksssss.

1. Car updates. I understand that teams regularily have planned updates to their cars, does anyone know how they deceminate this information? And is there a list somewhere that is up to date?

2. New teams - I understand that there are new teams trying to get into F1 next year and beyond, I know that there is the Us team and some euro team... What are their names? And what other teams are there trying to join???

Any information would be appreciated.

I know Autosport magazine usually have a feature on what updates the cars have put on after each race, certainly aero updates... don't know if there is anywhere you can find that information out for free though.

The American team will be called USF1, Lola wants to join too. Aside from those two there are several teams from lower formulae indictating they are thinking of moving up to F1. Can't remember any names though.

According to sources, the list of teams that were looking at moving to F1 were Lola, USF1, Wirth Research, Epsilon Euskadi, RML, Formtech, Campos Racing and iSport.

Another two outfits have also expressed an interest in moving up to F1. British F3 team Litespeed issued a statement declaring its intention to apply for an entry, while Prodrive has also admitted to be considering the move.

The new teams, eyeing a 2010 entry (taken from an article in F1-live):

The Italian team today claimed that a leaked entry list for the 2010 championship is more appropriate for a GP3 series than Formula One.
"Wirth Research, Lola, USF1, Epsilon Euskadi, RML, Formtech, Campos, iSport: these are the names of the teams, which should compete in the two-tier Formula One wanted by Mosley," the team said on its official website.
"Can a World Championship with teams like them - with due respect - can have the same value as today's Formula One, where Ferrari, the big car manufacturers and teams, who created the history of this sport, compete? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call it Formula GP3?"
Ferrari, along with Renault, Red Bull and Toyota are not expected to submit entries for the 2010 championship by the May 29th deadline.

For the updates by team, i think the best place is to look at Formula 1 official site. They have a really good technical section with explanations and images of the most important updates... other than that, different publications provide additional information...

Ah, forgot about that, it's a useful resource. The Autosport one does cover slightly more ground, but still, that one is free!

McLaren Mercedes has not ruled out lodging a team entry for the 2010 championship by the May 29 deadline, Norbert Haug said on Tuesday.

Other outfits, including Ferrari, Renault, Toyota and Red Bull, have made clear they are prepared to quit the sport if the budget cap rules for next year are not seriously revised.

But German Haug, boss of Mercedes' racing programmes, has repeatedly refused to join the rebels while insisting broad support for the principles of the FOTA alliance.

Some observers have drawn a parallel between Mercedes' softer stance with regards to the FIA position, and McLaren's recent suspended sentence for the 'lie-gate' scandal.

"We still have questions about the regulations and the Concorde agreement," Haug said. "Those questions must be answered before we enrol."

However, Haug stated that it is "possible" the way will be clear for McLaren Mercedes to enter before May 29.

He said the teams are generally concerned about the extremity of Max Mosley's proposed 45m euros cap, and that he "understands" the hard line taken by Ferrari.

"You have to see Ferrari with special eyes," said Haug. "And to go from having 1000 people one day, to half (that number) the next is a big step."

"It is easier for example for Williams, so I hope a middle ground can be found," he added.

Haug also insisted that there are currently no active plans for a 'breakaway' championship.
