I think Jenson's taking the pre-race training in Monaco a little too serious

I personally think it'll be another button victory.
Remember 2004, Button ran Truili hard till the very last lap and was undoubtly the faster man. It's a broken record, but he's driving is as smooth as silk, and that's what you need around monaco. You need to be precise.
Personally I'm hoping for another good race from Massa, except with more fuel. Don't forget who was the man on pole position last yearA pole that rocked the F1 world. In the dry the ferrari was better than the McLaren last year don't forget. But of course that means nothing this year. But all the same, heres for hoping.
Vettel will also hopefully be fast around here, but of course it's very dependent on the car this weekend. But Button has won 4 races, how many more does he really need to win. Time for Vettel to fight back. I suspect Monaco will suit the more nimble Brawn car, but all the same, time for Red Bull to go aggressive in quali like Brawn did in Barcelona. Let the Brawns get stuck behind the slower cars for once.
Also, many said Piquet will have 3 races to prove himself. Well this is his 3rd. Oh monaco, no doubt he'll be a safety car starter this weekend. Could we see Grosjean racing in TurkeyPersonally I hope so.
I don't really don't think Button has any critics right now.
^^That makes BMW's progress sound a hell of a lot more impressive doesn't it. They did make it out of the mid-feild and snatched a win. But this year, where has it all gone for BMW. They pulled out of the development race in 2008 very early, and still haven't made an impact.
Renault's progress throughout 2008 impressed me the most, 2 wins was more than I had ever imagined and Renault's budget is one of the smallest.
I would say lucky wins, they never outpaced McLaren or Ferrari. But your right they did make alot of progress and leap frog BMW into the best of the rest slot.
I disagree. In Singapore, Alonso was quicker than the Ferrari and McLaren cars - had he not been stuck in Q2 thanks to that car issue, he probably would've taken pole. In Japan, he was fast and he played the race intelligently. Whilst there was a luck factor involved at Fuji, it was no more so than Hamilton's luck at Monaco.
There was the big old Alonso factor going on there though. He was a beast last season!
youre basing on what ifs so sorry youre wrong.

Wrong about what? the wins being lucky or Renault having the pace?

Also, this is an interesting one.

Both Ferrari and McLaren will be running KERS this weekend. Renault and BMW will not.
Personally I thought KERS was next to useless around Monaco. But I suppose if the Ferrari was designed around KERS, and KERS is key weight balance component, then it makes sense.

KERS might make a difference when passing on pit straight into turn one! probably the only place to make a pass stick so it could be useful in that instance! rest of the circuit they probably wont use it at all!

Tunnel would also work as a boost to catch up?
