Its looking ever more likely that Alonso and Hamilton won't drive together next year, so where do you reckon the top four drivers will be next year?

I think the following could happen, Alonso stays with McLaren, Hamilton moves to Ferrari to join Raikkonen, and Massa moves to another team (perhaps McLaren, or maybe a team bought by Schumacher/Brawn).

Hamilton is not going anywhere. Ron Dennis has spent too much money on him. Kimi cost ferrari $51 million a year so they might as well use him. Massa is todt's unofficially adopted son becuase of his connections and Alonso wont go becuase there is not another team with a good enough car.

So next year the top 4 will remain exactly where they are!

Is there not some type of contract on Lewis whereby he has to remain at McLaren for several seasons because of the money that was invested in his career? In any case, I can't see him leaving. Alonso may want to go, sadly killing his McLaren career, but where has he to go? BMW don't look strong enough and they want a German driver, so Nick Heidfeld seems to have a guaranteed place. Kubica has an unannounced multi-year deal with BMW so I don't think they can get rid of him either. Ferrari are now beginning to see what Raikkonen can do and Massa has a good relationship with the team. Also, given Alonso's temperament, it would crazy to put him with Raikkonen. Sparks will fly just as they have this year.

If I was on 250k a year and I was offered 17 million by a rival, I'd definitely consider it....ok, he might have to buy out the contract but it's not even going to get close to 17 million is it?! And if your driver isn't happy in the team and wants to leave (and I'm not suggesting here that Hamilton isn't happy), surely it's better to let them go as they won't be in the right frame of mind if you force them to stay?

You're right about Ferrari though....if they did have Hamilton (or even Alonso), who would go? Both drivers have proved they have speed but not a lot of consistency. Which one would you push?

I would *love* to see Raikkonen and Alonso in the same team :D

I think we've been spoilt this year, the only way I can see it being more competitive would be if BMW were a couple of tenths faster. :D

Awesome idea! Two Englishmen in an English team! Button and Hamilton and Dennis. Brilliant!
