I think it is a good thing that they are hamstringing Mosely, but this may well spiral into a real sport damaging mess. The teams, writing the rules? This could get really ugly and result in no agreement on rules at all...which I suppose is not any worse than we have now.

Can't be any worse than what we have now. It's kind of how a few other sports operate, so it's not unheard of. Might be an idea to have a back up in place in case squabbles derail rule-making, but as a plan it's pretty solid.

While it's plain to anyone that the rules are what they are, and get tweeked periodically, more for luring viewers than anything else, which is a sad dilution of the sport, who's to say anyone else making those rules won't do the same? Money is necessary for the sport to exist.

I'd be glad if at least it (FOTA) were granted more participation in the affairs of the FIA and FOM. And viceversa...

Unfortunately, they are the most difficult piece of the puzzle to take out, seeing as they 'own' (or own?) the sport.
