Well he could well be happier at another team, but what about the car? I doubt Ferrari would want him.

[btw I changed your post to link to the main article and for caps]

Yes, the car would be a problem, but i think its better for him being far away from this kind of people... plus dont forget he was two times the champion with a Renault car...

Ok, i saw that change

No man is bigger than the team. If wants to leave, f*** him. McLaren have always treated both drivers equally and allowed them to race one another without one being favoured (at least until one of them could not win the championship, in which case he should help the other). He has shown he is a poor sportsman and champion by not wanting his team mates to race him on equal terms.

Absolute rubbish!

DC almost had ulcer's in his stomache at McLaren because Adrian Newey was instructed to design a very pointy/understear type car to suit Mika's driving style. When MH left and Kimi joined I remember DC quoting to the press along the lines of "Finally Adrian will design a car that has a lot of push, which suits my driving style".

DC went crackers when Adrian kept designing pointy cars because Kimi liked his cars that way as well.

Must be all the driving on snow in finland, they like oversteer...

Oh really. Well, what about when Alonso got preference to win the Spanish and Monaco Grands Prix. Were McLaren biased against Alonso then?

Sounds a good argument when you first read it, however, was David Coulthard used as Hakkinen or Raikkonen's tea-boy? (At least until Coulthard was still in the title race) No. What was Adrian Newey supposed to do? Designing two different cars for each driver is impossible logistically. Alonso this season was allowed to use different brakes, which the aerodynamics were tweaked slightly on his car to improve braking cooling, because he felt they would improve his driving. That was done without complaint because it was reasonable request.

You think that "being treated in the same way" would be Hamilton braking at the finish line to wait for Alonso to catch up. The sooner Alonso packs his bags, the better. He is a petulant prima donna, a liability. No doubt Flavio will welcome him and slaughter the fatted calf. The two deserve one another.

If the current speculation is correct, it seems that both of the most potent teams in the sport, Ferrari and McLaren, prefer Hamilton over Alonso. Maybe Alonso is about to find out that he is not "God's gift" to Formula 1.

Yeah because Renault is doing fantastic this year...

the reason Newey designed a pointy car was that was the best style for the bridgestone tyres that the team were using at the time.

it is the same for alot of drivers this year, cars have had to be desinged to the requirements of the tyres, and during the winter alot of drivers said that they had to adjust their driving style, but coulthard has never been one for being able to do that, he has his style and that's it.

the only time McLaren looked like they have favored one driver was when Senna was there, after prost left, but Berger (team mate 90-92) will be the first to admit, and has in the past, that they were not treated different, it was just that senna was amazingly fast, and in 93, Andretti was crap, but hakkinen outqualified senna first time out, so that proves he MUST have had equal equipment..

wiggum, if you truly believe that renault are doing badly just because alonso has gone, then you need to wake up and smell the roses.. :D

the equipment is the same, only strategy differs, and tends to favour the lead quailfier slightly (obviously), but this will always happen

Bonetista: Thats the only way they know how to talk, all of them are coming from the same school, the Hamilton family  If u have a look all over the forum, u will see the good manners they have, but they have a mirror where to see, so...

Wiggum: If its up of Hamilton fans, Renault is doing fantastic this year OMG!!! They r blind, i think they r watching a different competition, cause if they see the same i dont know how they can say Reanult is doing it pretty good and of course its because Fernando its not there...
