Does this mean a return of these "legends"?

Ricardo Rosset - legend of the gravel trap!

A brand new F1 team...£50 million
The amount of debt after 1 race...£6 million

Failing to Qualify for Aus1997....PRICELESS.

Wanna know a good anagram of Rosset? As the mechanics who worked for Tyrrell at that time. ;)

Cosworth talking to 8 teams?

the FIA's vision of F1 is for it to become a f***ing spec series!

There would be nothing wrong with eight teams out of thirteen running Cosworth engines.

No, it's called Formula One. See 1979 as an example:

Lotus Cosworth
Tyrrell Cosworth
Brabham Cosworth (with the BT49)
McLaren Cosworth
ATS Cosworth
Ferrari
Fittipaldi Cosworth
Renault
Shadow Cosworth
Wolf Cosworth
Ensign Cosworth
Merzario Cosworth
Ligier Cosworth
Williams Cosworth
Arrows Cosworth
Rebaque Cosworth
Alfa Romeo
Kauhsen Cosworth

And it worked. For years previously and years afterwards, the majority of the field ran with Cosworth engines. And yet, this is constantly hailed as the 'golden era' of Formula One.

exactly, F1 is de-evolving soon it will become extinct and just become another spec series.

Well, that depends entirely on what other regulations are brought in. Fair enough, if spec parts are put on the cars, then I can see that being the case. I still don't understand why teams don't just say they'll cap at somewhere between £60m and £80m in exchange for free(er) regulations.

it wasn't a 'golden era', there has been no golden era, some eras were better for some aspects of the sport and other eras for other aspects. The all cosworth era was less attractive to me as the cars all sounded horrible. Comparing the variety of engine sounds at the race start in footage from 1967 to a race start in 1969, the sound from the 67 is glorious! I'd like to see more freedom afforded to engine builders personally.

We could have always enlisted Judd to supply some engines had things gone down this road!

Judd! They're....Acceptable, right?

I'll get my coat.

Their engines used to overhead and blow up very quickly (though his happened often in 1988 when they first entered F1 supplying March, Ligier and Williams - who lost Honda because they wouldn't take Crashajima onboard).

I guess they've learned their lesson then.
