A friend of mine from another website posted these pics of the squirrel he named Larry. He feeds him on a daily basis because he always looks skinnier than the other yet he has the best personality he says. I mentioned to him that maybe we could start a 'Fight for Larry' fund to help him. Larry has stolen my heart because I have dealt with disabled animals before and nothing is more heart wrenching yet more satisfying.

Here's Larry:

Very cute. Squirrels are great. :hehe: I'm a little bit confused about your idea, though. Are you planning to raise funds for Larry or just his name for a charity to help animals?

he might also find him on a daily basis due to the fact it is missing an arm! :hehe:

Probably why the poor git is so skinny too! He's cool though - i've never known a squirrel not to leg it off on sight of a human.

It was just a quircky idea of support as Larry is being fed quite regularly now.

He mentioned that he feeds them each day while at school/university and that they live around the bench he normally sits at.

OMG, Larry is adorable <3 Such cute photos :D

I was at Centre Parcs with my boyfriend once and there was a tame-ish squirrel who lived in the forest outside our little house place, and he would come and eat the nuts that we left outside for him. He got really close to us, but would never come inside. We called him Jerry Squirrely. I guess they're like most animals - spend enough time around humans and they get increasingly brave. Especially if we feed them!
