Although I see the vallidity in McLaren Fan's points and posts, what was that for Bud? Simply just a comment to disagree with me? I bet if I had said the EU sucks that you would of posted that the idea of a United European State would rock. And I bet you are glad I no longer live in Melbourne right?

na actually i cant see it working, not when you have nationalist people like you living within it that would not let go of their own heritage and truelly embrace a united nation the same way the colonies of the Americas did!

Well it isnt that easy. While I support what has already been done like a common currency and no borders, and while I would support a future possible European Army and a president withn greater power, I did not support a common standard language. Because you see what the hell would you make the standard European language be. The British would want English, the French would want French. People like me would say be fair and make it a number of commonly popular language or a nuetral language but deep down would really want it to be Italian, so tell me how the hell does one let go of their own heritage?

I agree. I support removing the borders, the single currency, centralised Federal government (But with less power than say America's Federal Goverment. Sort of more like oversight, but with decently powerful enforcement measures), but the linguistics should be left as is. UK is already moving to teaching Continental European Languages to Primary school kids, before long we'll have people know enough to get by.

As for Eurovision...Harmless fun. I enjoy seeing foreign music. Then becoming outraged over the terrible Scoring.
