There was a run by Honda with a modified car that wouldn't be legal but someone did do a similar speed with an F1 car that would be legal, either Honda in a subsequent of previous attempt or McLaren maybe...

Remember that stunt Honda did, they got an F1 car up to what, 245mph with modded wings?

That was a to-the-regs car as well. No un-raceable parts. All of it was race-legal F1 stuff.

can you race with the rear wing they used :S aka a bit of carbonfibre to cut into the air and to keep the car stra  ight ?

Think rubens is abit of a has been he had a chance in a Ferrari and he couldn't beat Schui.

Correction. He wasnt allowed to be beat Schumi.

But if he came to Ferrari and took the piss out of schui do you really think it wouldnt of been the other way round

He wasn't allowed to even remotely try that either, Barrichello had plenty of days when he would make Schumacher look second best, and then the call would come from Jean Todt to move over. ie. Austria 2002.

Formula 1 in is the most watched motorsport series in the world.

its got the best drivers and the fastest cars.

i'm enjoying this season, last season was great also.

The only think i'm abit miffed is with the FIA.

Wheres the problem?

Actually you could say your equal to Indy. Indy cars are quicker by the way, they are actually designed to Jets. If you listen to one, they sound different from a F1 car. I hve a friend who is in charge at Panther Racing.

Indy cars are not quicker by F1 cars by a long shot.

The DP01 Champ Car was faster around Laguna than an 06 Toyota F1 car.

Have you actually been to a track with more than one Indy car running at the same time? I find in annoying as all hell,
Every car makes the exact same noise at the exact same places on the track, due to the same engines used. They don't sound anywhere as High Tech as an F1 car at full throttle. They're also visually not interesting (except for Danica) the bodies are all the same, and they look like they were F1 cars from the 70's. I've been to both F1 and IndyCar races and there's no comparison at all. Indycar is a mere shadow of what CART used to be.

Actually i prefere Indy Car's to F1 cars, there bigger and alot sexier. IN MY OWN OPINION I like them allot and would love to drive one, plus they don't cost as much as F1. The drivers don't have to pay for there drives? (Andretti Green Racing) but i must admit the system for Indy is very strange....

I'm sure the rear wing was replaced with one single fin, or the rear wing was removed apart from the central element. :scratchchin:

and also used the V10 powerplant.

I don't usually equate Bigger and Cheaper to being sexier, not in race cars or women for that matter, but to each is own.

No, unfortunately not. But with that comment? What has this to do with woman? if your ever implying anything about my Fiancé? i have 2 words for you. Otherwise i find there form of racing more interesting, in the form of glamorous racing F1 is the preferred choice of mine. I do watch F1 more but i find Indy a nice change. That's all.

I usually equate sexy with women, but hey that's just me. No disrespect to you or your fiance' it was merely my opinion of what I think is sexy.
I used to follow CART but can't get myself to enjoy an Indycar race, I think Spec series races are great for club racing and up and coming drivers, but when it comes to the top levels of racing I don't like it. Spec series remove the engineering and creativity out of the car design and I don't care for that. I've been to a couple of race weekends were the Indycars were running with sports cars and although I enjoy going to just about any race, I find the Indycars are just not that enjoyable. When there are 20 cars on track that all make the exact same noise it becomes painful, At an F1 race all the cars have different exhaust notes and even sound different as they cut through the air, and you just don't get that at an Indycar race.

Sorry but if they put a 08 Ferrari or a 08 Mclaren around that Circuit or a 09 Brawn Driven by Massa, Lewis or JB it would take the piss out of a champ car.

There's no way in hell a champ car or Indy car would be faster round a track with actual corners than an F1 car. F1 cars generate more downforce, better braking, acceleration and and cornering performance as well as having comparable power outputs.

The Rudder may or may not be Legal (I don't think it's specifically outlawed), but the idea is the car in general is.
