McLaren's mysterious punishment has not been explained properly in the stewards' report nor by Ferrari partisans on this forum. As you've seen, even if i'm a Ferrari fan, i tried to explane it but at the end i've understand that there is no explanation to what happened on saturday. In my opinion has been a political decision...but...take a look here, maybe someone found the explanation

Honestly, i don't know if it's so. As i said , it seems that in the future, RD will pay to FIA every breathe he will take, and this is definitively against the spirit of this sport. Every action token against McLaren is obviously, a direct benefit to Ferrari. But i can't tell if there is any link between this and the sh***y spy story. I know that i'm happy if we win on the track, in every other circumstancies, i'm never happy, believe me.McLaren's mysterious punishment has not been explained properly in the stewards' report nor by Ferrari partisans on this forum. As you've seen, even if i'm a Ferrari fan, i tried to explane it but at the end i've understand that there is no explanation to what happened on saturday. The FIA have not come out and said that themselves, so it's only speculation. Furthermore, it's only common sense to try and get both of your drivers a clean lap, which would have happened if Hamilton played ball. Whatever way you look at it, a team will have to favour one driver. If they bring them in on the same lap, one driver would have to get his pitstop first, so is that favouring one driver? No. I am clear in my mind this a politically motivated decision to benefit Ferrari, just like last year against Alonso at Monza, the mass damper system being banned last year and Ferrari having illegal barge boards in the '99 season.
Would Mansell, Senna, Piquet et al have done what Hamilton did? Of course they would have. Prost won't have though.Would Mansell, Senna, Piquet et all have done what Alonso did after what Hamilton did?
In order to understand what happened on Saturday, we need to know if there are rules that forbid teams from giving advantage to one driver over the other during qualis. I understand if a driver get punished for impeding drivers from other teams.Today i asked the same question, but no one answered to me. Good luck!
Also, we need to know if team strategies during qualis, whatever they are, must be regulated by the FIA. Again, it doesn't matter who was right or wrong anymore. What matters is that this ruling set a precedent in terms of having the FIA/Stewards intervene with inter-team work/strategies during qualis!

As usual, i agree. RACE IS RACE. Do someone remeber that all happened on saturday? In order to understand what happened on Saturday, we need to know if there are rules that forbid teams from giving advantage to one driver over the other during qualis. The FIA monitor the radios so why hasn't this come to light before? However, I looked in my trusty Formula One rulebook and found the following:
...team orders which interfere with the race result will be prohibited
To me that implies team orders are banned in the race, however, not in qualifying etc., however, another debate is what are team orders? As I said on another thread you can only service one car at a time in the pits, so if the two cars come into the pits at once somebody will have to be serviced first. Is that team orders or favouritism? I don't think so. Furthermore, what's wrong with wanting to get your cars out in clean air? Again, the FIA have known that teams do this anyway. Whatever way you look at it's a political decision made for Ferrari by the Ferrari International Association (FIA) just like the spy-scandal, just like last seaon's mass damper saga and the '99 illegal barge board scenario in which Ferrari escaped.
Hey McLaren fan, is a Ferrari fan talking with you. This has been a POLITICAL DECISION, that's all.
McLaren Fan thanks for the quote from the F1 rulebook. I guess you are right, because this does not point directly to qualifications. It says the race and since it's the case are qualis considered part of the race? I too think it's a political decision and no more than that. What a shame, the FIA/Stewards have done it again!Do you know the motorsporting background of the 3 stewards in hungary?
