Monaco won't be a KERS track. There aren't many places that you could get the most of it (you might make an extra two metres or so in the run to the first corner) so you would be sacrificing the advantage of freedom to place ballast in as efficient a place as possible. With the extreme stop-and-start nature of Monaco, teams would be better off focusing on other aspects of their cars.

Mclaren wont be on podium, I want them to be but no I dont see it happening.

Belive Hannah!

Martin Whitmarsh - Lewis is mega there."

:):yes::thumbup:

The proof is on the podium...we shall see. It's easy to be mega when your car is dominant.

nah there's a few sections where it would reduce lap time.

its not the best circuit for KERS but it will help

I'm not sure that the advantages would out-weigh the disadvantages to be honest. I think we'll see a lot of drivers opting for a better-balanced car for Monaco.

And unfortunately, I'm going to miss the most important part of the weekend - travelling to Cornwall when qualifying is on! :(

My bets are that Vettel or Webber will win. I have a hunch Trulli is to come back with a vengeance, otherwise I think the Brawn will not be suited to the track and Jenson might feel a little pressure, as this is the most glamorous track in all of motor sport history. I think only the top drivers have won here such forth of Juan Pablo Montoya, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen, Ayrton Senna, Schumi & the Great Graham Hill!. I think JB may have a hard GP, I think the likes of Barichello, Trulli, and Webber will have a little edge on this one. I hope to see Rubbens on the top of the podium on this one.

I personally think it'll be another button victory.

Remember 2004, Button ran Truili hard till the very last lap and was undoubtly the faster man. It's a broken record, but he's driving is as smooth as silk, and that's what you need around monaco. You need to be precise.

Personally I'm hoping for another good race from Massa, except with more fuel. Don't forget who was the man on pole position last year  A pole that rocked the F1 world. In the dry the ferrari was better than the McLaren last year don't forget. But of course that means nothing this year. But all the same, heres for hoping.

Vettel will also hopefully be fast around here, but of course it's very dependent on the car this weekend. But Button has won 4 races, how many more does he really need to win. Time for Vettel to fight back. I suspect Monaco will suit the more nimble Brawn car, but all the same, time for Red Bull to go aggressive in quali like Brawn did in Barcelona. Let the Brawns get stuck behind the slower cars for once.

Also, many said Piquet will have 3 races to prove himself. Well this is his 3rd. Oh monaco, no doubt he'll be a safety car starter this weekend. Could we see Grosjean racing in Turkey  Personally I hope so.

My pre-quali prediction agree's with you as I think either Jens or Rubens will walk it strictly due to their superior mechanical grip and treatment of the tires. I wont be dissatisfied if they do not win though, it will be a very exciting race and possibly the best of the season so far.

I really like Vettel yet I think BGP has too much in the bag for him to win the WDC yet we are talking about F1 where anything is possible and never say never. Very exciting season it is  .

Yes, I don't think BGP will lose either title now. But I don't want to see Vettel concede defeat yet. Unfortunately the excitement mostly seems to be happening away from the pitch. Err.. track. The excitement in this season is starting to wear off now. It looks like each race will end 1-2 Brawn 3-4 Red Bull when it's dry and 1-2 Red Bull 3-4 Brawn when it's wet. :hehe:

It is interesting, and exciting in the fact that the order has mixed up. But, since the first race, the order has still pretty much stayed the same. What I don't want to see is another Button victory for a while. 2 more races and he has it in the bag. It will be highly unlikely that Vettel, Barichello, Webber or Massa could catch up. So this is what I missed in the Schumacher days...

I only started watching after he left.

I do not and have never read that much into the races, I'm simple like that. I know things are not what they used to be but we must view our F1 glass as half full and not half empty. Over-analyzation is dangerous territory meaning that if you read too much into the 'behind the scenes' bs one could be led astray from what really matters which is the 'on-track' racing.

All I know is I get to watch F1 and I'm happy  .

Thats all I got to say about that :D ,

Yeah, I do way too much reading in Wikipedia. I'm a freak. I investigate race incidents, I use them to compare drivers... I have no life. :(

There is nothing wrong with that man as I used to keep charts of point standing's regarding the drivers/teams and fastest laps so you are doing the same thing I did. I guess the point I'm trying to get across is that the political/behind the scenes agenda, atleast for myself, has taken over what truelly matters and that is the on-track results. Maybe my opinion will change someday but I dont think so. After watching F1 for 30yrs my view has never changed but to each their own as we all have different likes and dislikes.

Fantastic, another Vettel fan! :wavey:

you are not alone on the wikipedia, i do that quite a lot too...

back on topic, i do agree that the BGP's have a chance to take the Monaco GP, but if it rains... :yikes:
Redbull- Vettel wins
Ferrari podium

i THINK qualify session is pretty much 80-90% of the race, other than pitstops and other things that could happen in the track....but its F1, nothing goes to plan

Lol, I'm a Ferrari fan myself, but i think Ferrari's hopes of scoring a much needed podium is thinning. I believe the major contenders are the Toyota. I hope Trulli could win this race, for the pure fact of he deserves it. But if not that, then i believe Webber or Vettel are the ones to watch, it will be very interesting.
