Wow, what a manufactured "crisis" if there ever was one...

F1 racist? Far from it. A couple of knukleheads out of thousands present to watch a race do something tasteless, and now the entire sport has to bear the cross of these idiot's and their lame attempt at humor?

Show me the statute, or rule, or any sort of definitive codification that prevents non-whites from competing fairly. Until you can do so, then you have to conclusively state F1 is NOT institutionally racist.

I don't understand how you can question the motives and standings of an entire entertainment-industrial complex based on the actions of a few. I dunno, I mean, after all, aren't bigotry/racism/prejudice all based off of painting ALL with one brush, usually negatively, because of the actions of a few???

The problem with throwing down the "racism" charge at the drop of a hat is that it very quickly loses its weight when it becomes a "chicken little, the sky is falling" situation every time an incident with even the slightest amount of racial friction is involved. Sometimes, its not racism, its just a few drunks being a**holes or some dumba** who has not gotten the message yet that racism isn't cool anymore.

If you had half the fans showing up in blackface, throwing bananas out onto the track, burning figures of Nakajimi in effigy, wearing fake buckteeth and fake round, thick glasses saying "Me no likey to dlive too fast", etc. at most of the tracks, and had F1-sponsored discount banana vendors and such at the track, I'd say "Yeah, there is racism present". As it currently stands, we are very far from that ridiculous scenario, thankfully.

To answer your question, NO! F1: Its about RACING, not RACISM.
