Very true. Say, Lehto and Wendlinger didn't do too badly in that season. Wracked up some decent results in the Merce... I mean Illmour powered car.

I don't know, but if that is true, i guess the fact that they put their name on that terrible McLaren MP4/10 balanced it out.

It's crazy that my sig shows more Mercedes signage than the BGP-001. It will look good for Brawn and good for Merc. it doesn't damage Renault F1 having their logo on the Red Bull, it won't damage McLaren having the Mercedes badge on the Brawn.

It's crazy that my sig shows more Mercedes signage than the BGP-001. It will look good for Brawn and good for Merc. it doesn't damage Renault F1 having their logo on the Red Bull, it won't damage McLaren having the Mercedes badge on the Brawn.

Speaking of which, I feel your sig has become too busy and cluttered - just from an aesthetic's point of view. Maybe back to the drawing board and make the nice lines of the car stand out again? Just my humble opinion, though

Cars that had customer engines like Cosworths and Judds didn't always stick a big Ford logo on the engine cover like the "works" Ford teams did. Infact I don't think I ever saw anybody put a Judd logo on their cars either.

Especially with the Judds when they used to keep overheating and breaking down every 5 minutes.

Wow. I guess I don't see how Mercedes taking credit for what is obviously a very good motor has anything whatsoever to do with McLaren. DD, you clearly are very biased here...whereas our two McLaren fans are clearly very neutral and undecided in their patronage. Clearly.

Merc should have their tag on any car they put an engine in...I'm shocked it's not part of their package requirement to be honest. Why not take the advertising? They should simply make it part of the deal....want our motors? No problem, they cost this much plus this many square inches on your car.
