Aren`t the cars supposed to leave a store of fuel(3L, I'm not pretty sure) as FIA can analyze the fuel after the race ?

Seeing that Massa stopped few meters after finish the GP, isn't he supposed to be disqualified ??

Having leftover fuel add's extra weight to the car, also that is why you hear the team on the radio reminding the driver to pickup the marbles. Being under the minimum weight can lead to a disqualification.

Many drivers have stopped just after crossing the finish and that is due to the weight issue so no Massa should not be disqualified.

It wasn't really Ferrari's fault, once again an FIA-Spec Fueling Rig failed to do its job properly. The car should have had more fuel in ti than it did.

Massa could have driven a bit more frugally in the final stint to compensate, but he's the same kind of "do or die" driver as Lewis.

It wasn't really Ferrari's fault, once again an FIA-Spec Fueling Rig failed to do its job properly. The car should have had more fuel in ti than it did.

Massa could have driven a bit more frugally in the final stint to compensate, but he's the same kind of "do or die" driver as Lewis.

Of course it was Ferrari`s fault...if they put less fuel than they should`ve put then they`ve faied once again.
And how could Massa drive slower than that? he just "opened the doors" to Vettel and Alonso in the last few laps.

He was still fighting Vettel as Rob Smedley came on to the radio, though. It should have been at that point that he slowed and took fifth place. Of course, he shouldn't have been put in such a position in the first place. Horrible weekend for the poor guy.

And a human failure wasn`t discarded...that was what Felipe said.

Either way...if he slowed down before, Alonso probably would catch him as well...

It was not Ferrari's fault, get over it. These Rigs are useless and have been for at least a decade.

Besides which, Felipe is not blameless. He could have let Vettel go in the final stint and driven conservatively enough to keep Fernando back.

o.k.next year-no refueling and kers. all the cars will runout. as the curse unit is situ under the fuel cell. how in the world are they going to add extra tanks. the sidepods are already full of rad's etc. more b.s. rules stupid fia. burt.

There is supposed to be a minimum amount of fuel left in the cars so that the FIA can test it for irregularities. By the looks of the onboard, he realised he wasn't going to have enough left and just pulled over as soon as was safe to make sure there was enough left. The car was still happily ticking over when he stopped after the race.

The 2010 regulations contain a provision allowing the cars to be larger to accommodate the bigger tanks.

I think there is an inherent fault with gravity fed fuel rigs, they are gravity fed right or did I brainfart?
