I wonder if Alonso & Trulli are penalized next race for thier part in the turn 1 & 2 massacre ?

I hope not, the first corner crash was the only exciting part and the stewards are getting more and more anal dishing out penalties for racing incidents.

I thought the Weber/Alonso battle was the only exciting part of the race. It lasted all of about 8 seconds...

I think Williams better start quietly shopping for Nico replacements and wait for the buget cap, I don't think it's going to get any better now, Renault, Ferrari and McLaren are just going to spend their way past them. Rod Nelson needs sacking because he is making ridiculous strategy calls.

A Nico replacement WTF. Who would consider replacing him when he's got a team mate like Nakajima.

I'd definitely consider replacing someone who complains about the team, yet rarely shows up on raceday himself.

Sorry but you got to put that in context so lets look at who fits this description
"someone who complains about the team but isn't doing so well"

Kimi for a start not having such a good season and is having a go at Ferrari
Hamilton also not doing so hot and saying that McLaren need to up their game

Button last year was being written of as someone who was all talk and didn't have it in him to drive for the WDC
Webber is another one from last who was marked as a complainer

Thing is that if the stratagey or the car isn't going well in the race its the driver that would know

I don't recall Raikkonen having a go at Ferrari, he's certainly not threatening to leave like Rosberg is. Hamilton - whatever, i don't care what he says or does. If Rosberg had actually outdriven the cars potential then i think he'd be in a position to make threats, but he hasn't in my opinion, hence my comments.

No one was at fault for the accident. Rosberg jerked battling with Alonso, which in turn forced truili into a spin. You can't really blame anyone there.

Anyways, as for the race. :banghead: Ferrari are a joke this year. 5 mechnincal failures so far. Twice they haven't even gotten into Q3, and I've lost count how many times KERS has failed them. Not mention this fuel problem, and putting Kimi on wet tyres at Malaysia.

Gutted for Massa today. He couldn't have drove better, only to be reduced to surrendering positions so that his car didn't stop on track. His luck this year has been zero. He's had problems at every single race so far, and just about all of them blunders from his team. How frustrating must it be, to have a drive with the greatest and most prestigious team in F1, you drive inch perfect for them, only for them to let you down.

Toyota have had a strange weekend. They were just nowhere today, and Glock just failed to move through the field at all today. They'll be hoping to be back on form at Monaco, since with the team threatening to quit, that all illusive first win is looking more and more vital.

Brawn, as I said about a week ago Button would win, but I was really rooting for Barrichello today. In my opinion he was the driver best on form today. His strategy, not so much. I don't get how Brawn came to the conclusion that a 3 stop would work when it clearly just didn't. Some say that Rubens lost the race in that 3rd stint, but the reality was that if he was on pace he would've just been stuck behind Vettel and Massa, and Button still would've won.

A 2 stopper with a short stint on the bad tyre at the end of the race has been and still is the optimum strategy all year long. I just don't get why teams aren't taking all these different approaches with 3 stops. 3 stops have failed to work at every race so far. Look at Webber, he had the strategy perfect and ended up 3rd and was right behind Rubens.

Also, this was Lewis's first ever race on a 1 stop strategy in dry conditions. The tyres were just shot and he had to pit again :hehe: Lewis and 1 stops are just two things that don't go together. Seriously, I worry about how he'll go next year with re-fuelling banned and tyre changes becoming paramount. Surely he'll be fine, but it's an interesting one to watch all the same.

In terms of Nakajima, I don't know why people continuously claim he's fast. He is, put simply, not fast at all. Look at his times compared to Rosberg on something like FORIX and you'll see what I mean. The guy is a complete liability, and the sooner Williams get rid of him, the better.

Another loser who absolutely has to go is Piquet. Rather, why is he not gone already? If Briatore was the no-nonsense guy he likes to tell us all he is, he'd have Piquet's arse out the door ages ago. Alonso, once again, demolished Piquet this weekend.

This is Formula One, not the an indoor karting track for the general public. Feeble excuses and a lack of talent should not be tolerated.

Several people had particularly good races today: Webber, Alonso, Heidfeld and Hamilton. Hamilton continues to annoy me, however; he needs to stop complaining to the paparazzi. Yes, McLaren, unfortunately, have not given him a car capable of winning the title this season, but any whingeing should be done in-house, and Hamilton should also consider that McLaren has kept it's gob shut about Hamilton's numerous cock-ups and taken the bullet for him on several occasions.

You might want to double check your DVR. Alonso forced a car off who then came back on to force a williams(?) car off, who then in an atempt to save as many places as possible (and keep from getting stuck in the gravel) nailed the throttle and reentered the circuit just about sideways.

Everyone who was on the track saw it and slid to thier left to avoid him. The only one who didn't had went wide in turn 1 and was coming back onto the circuit looking for the inside track to turn 3 and T Boned him(williams?) because the cross traffic (moving left to avoid the re-entering car)obscured his view.

I'm not sure what forced (was it) Sutil (?) off in turn 1.

Hamilton hardly said anything to the press. When asked if the upgrades had worked he replied "No". Simple statement of fact. What should he do? lie? :hehe:

Thought Webber did great and think had the race gone on he'd have challenged Barichello.
Didnt think Alonso would remain that high up-kudos!
Hoped Lewis might creep into the points, not quite :(
Sad for Barichello, hoped he'd have the win.
Sad for Massa.
Vettel needs to start overtaking!!
Button did good on the hards.

Slightly more impartial people than yourself would tend to follow my line on Hamilton.

Okay, so uh, I'm going for everyone except massa.
I'm a little disappointed in hamilton's position.
I know he is fuelled heavily, but I'm a little concerned because it feels like they're going backwards.
This season is so mentally draining ):

The situation will probably be hugely different in two weeks when they race at Monaco. The McLaren seems to have decent mechanical grip and that's absolutely essential at Monaco, so I could see Lewis being in with a chance of a podium there. Only problem is, there are a lot of other teams that should go well there, too :P

1 race. Doesen't change a thing

It does especialy if its on a high downforce circuit.

Don't get me wrong Mclaren have done great to get form back of the grid to 4th but now we have to do it all over again or so it seams.
Even if Hamilton gets a podium, he's nowhere near winning the championship. Maybe the McLaren should start making a new car for 2010 and this one thoroughly. I see no point in putting big sums of money for their car this year when they aren't competing for champ.

Pretty Gutted :(

Think it was pretty much expected this week. small upgrades that didnt work too well whereas others have made the bigger leap that mclaren made at the last couple of races. If lewis can get in the points today he'll do really well. Look for him to make a bigger difference at monacco where his driving can make up more ground and the car difficiences will be less pronounced.

"What can I do? I drove my heart out, as I always do," Hamilton told BBC TV. "It's just that the car is not good. I just had no grip.

"It's just a shame they [McLaren] haven't given me a car to defend the championship with. The car is that bad. I'm driving the socks off it. There's just no hope."

The press would disagree with you.
