Grosjean has won the first round, whether he'll actually end up racing for the title all season depends on Nelson Piquet.

Why hasn't the likes of the BBC picked this up?

I believe Setanta did... annoyingly. :irked:

They're showing the races tomorrow, I think. It's a shame, because I don't have Setanta! I really enjoyed watching GP2 these past couple of years, but that's no longer possible. Guess it'll just be F1 and BTCC from now on.

I've got Setanta, for obvious reasons ;)

GP2 on Setanta :censored:

Argg, I had to watch a Spanish stream today. Why didn't eurosport or Motors TV pick it up :(

Anyways, great race from GP2 today. How come those cars can follow and overtake each other so much easier. F1 should learn something from GP2

Maldanado, is just mini-Montoya. So aggressive. The instant he came up to that trail of 4 cars, I started saying he'd hammer his way through that train, and that he did. Grosjean was pretty dominate, so it'll be interesting tomorrow. No doubt he'll be fighting through the field from 8th. Looking forward to tomorrow.

GP2 cars use Ground Effects.

Is that really it? If that is the case, why are they banned in Formula One..?

Edit: Nevermind. I can see the potential safety issues... :/

i want to see ground effect back in F1. Banning it was a knee jerk reaction to a problem that was only going to manifest itself in another way later on. The only big safety concern for me is the sudden loss of downforce that results in a car grounding out but the FIA could produce a set of mandatory minimum ride heights for each circuit...

Balestre was quite a knee-jerk reactionist (if you think about it), he banned Turbo's because "they were becoming too fast", but the introduction of the 3.5 Litre engines was not exactly a "bad" idea now was it? ;)

Well the turbos were getting insane. Thing is, high straight line speeds aren't as dangerous as high cornering speeds so i reckon with some regs that created lower downforce levels, 1200bhp wouldn't be too dangerous. Balestre was a tool. People complain about Mosely but Balestre was something else.
