This is the final I wanted out of the last 4. Liverpool should have been in there against Barca but glad not to see Chelsea in there again. Manchester United are probably the best club side in the world atm so they deserve to be there. Two teams that play great football in the final so it should be good

That's coming from a team where the majority of their fans, and I say the majority, were actually in fact racist... :)

Now lets not bring racism into the discussion.

I'm a Chelsea fan. But Barcelona also holds a place in my heart.

After the first leg, I was supporting Barcelona in this game. If Chelsea are going to turn up to a football game and not play football, then they deserve everything they get. I woke up at 4 am for this game. On the 50th minute.. I fell a sleep. The game pattern was this:

Barca make it to the box. Chelsea clear it. Barca make it to the box. Chelsea clear it. Barca make it to the box... :irked::thumbdown:

True, Chelsea should've got at least a penalty. But if they came to that game that game and actually played football, the game shouldn't have been decided on a penalty.

Drogba's earned a reputation as a diver. If he goes down in a box, I won't give him a penalty regardless if it was genuine or not. Christiano Ronaldo went back to diving as well. I can't wait to see him go to Real Madrid and ruin his career.

When Drogba yells "It's a f***ing disgrace." Guess what buddy? You're the biggest disgrace to the game, and the fact that you play for my team, makes me want to puke.

I've lost my respect for Guus Hiddink, who is a legend. He took my country to the World Cup. But he has no appreciation for the game, and what it looks like to the paying fans!!! :irked:

Message to Abramovic: For the sake of the game and my support to your club: Didier Drogba must go!!!! He holds up the play. He's the only striker for the team. When he dives, and the match plays on, guess what? Chelsea lose the ball. Attack wasted. There are no supporting strikers, so no one can resume the attack.

If Chelsea made it the final, it would be a waste of money paying to see it.

What the hell Azza, Chelsea!? You Live in Sydney man! They don't even play good football. Christiano Ronaldo and Drogba dive but they are also both great players. Diving is part of the game unfortunately, I refuse to demonise those who do it more often, particularly players who like to run at defenders.
A fast player would rather go down rather than ride a challenge so as to reduce the risk of injury. Sure you could try and stay up the whole time but eventually a rough challenge from a Bolton player or something is gonna knock you out for half a season and then your confidence is down and you don't have the career you once had. It's not really an option even with the wages the top players get because you can only expect a 10 year career really and if you don't make the top wages, that's not really a lot of lettuce over a lifetime.

Wow. I didn't really look at it that way. But I think it's bad to watch.

You ever seen the Australian Nation Team play? We play a bit rough, but I love our style. No diving there. If a player is in your way, just knock him over. :D

But since we moved to Asia, the teams we play are all very, very bad divers. It's a disgrace to watch. Us Aussies do not believe in diving. I play indoor soccer, and we keep it aggressive, but skillfull.

I'm a goalie. I wouldn't say I'm aggressive. But I'm six foot four and weigh 105 kilos (not all fat, mind you) and I have a reputation for 1 v. 1s. In indoor, it's recommended that the 'keeper stays on his feet. But I have an advantage in throwing myself at striker's feet. I get kicked, a lot. :hehe: I've injured a few players before, but 99.9% of the time I go for the ball. The other 0.1% is my frustration at divers, so I chop them down... I've been sent off I think 4 times. I have a good success rate in saving one-v-ones anyway.

What's really fun is when you get the ball and the player at the same time. They stack it. But it's legal, and they start shooting too early after that.

But I take no :bs:. A dive is not part of the game, and I don't allow it. I believe that soccer is a contact sport. Believe it or not, I don't like Rugby though. And a striker who has his head up his arse and doesn't believe in team-work and thinks he's the only one the team is a w***er.

Trouble is FIFA want football to a non-contact sport and the guys with the money, the clubs, are quite happy for referees to give soft free kicks as it protects their assets, which cost them a lot of money.

The way Christiano Ronaldo plays in particular is quite dangerous, drawing in tackles. His timing has to be perfect and if he tried to stay up through the challenges he gets in the premiership, he would be crippled eventually. Sometimes fast players are put in a position where they are going to be fouled. They know they can get the ball round the player but will get taken out themselves so rather than risk an injury they play the ball in such a way so they can dive before the contact is made. This sort of becomes an ingrained habit in players like Ronaldo.

You see others like Van Nistelrooy and Robben who are trying to pull dirty tricks the whole game long, winding up players and playing mind games with the referee. This for me is different to the type of diving i just described, it's more like a game plan. Now a lot of players will behave like this given an opportunity (eg. Christiano Ronaldo with the Rooney sending off in Germany 2006) but some just go out with the aim of playing that way and that is a disgrace.

Some players do a really clever dive. I don't dive. But I do. Whenever I'm not in goals (which is quite rare) if I have the ball and someone fouls me, I'll deliberately turn into them and fall over.

I'll go down easy. But I won't go down if there is no contact. A little bit of argy-bargy is fine. If contact is torso to torso. If I get someone kick my leg, or make a late tackle, and actually make contact with me, I'll dive.

It's the only way to win a rightfully deserved foul.

The last Arsenal - Barcelona final was ugly, a real disappointment. Manchester United - Barcelona will be a better game as it will be tighter I think
