What's wrong with that? can you eat it straight out the can without cooking/heating it up?

Test subject #1! :hehe:

Just thinking of camping out at the GPs. Would probably want to do a test run first though as the toilets at the campsites have a tendancy to block/ be out of order and wouldn't like to risk being the #1 test subject under those conditions. Quick escape from a sleeping bag isn't always possible either.

There are far better tinned foods that you can buy for camping :P

Best solution would be to bring plenty of bread, chips and lunch meat. One item I always bring on fishing trips is beef jerky as it's a high protein source for a burst of energy and no preparation is involved. I have gone on fishing trips for 40yrs and I always learn something new as to what I will bring next time. If your there for the whole weekend a small Hibachi grill will allow you to cook burgers or steaks for that home away from home comfort food.

Go light this GP just make sure you have plenty of portable snacky's. :)

I have no idea what beef jerky is, heard it mentioned in films like trading places but that's all.

Hmmm, burgers, tried that before with those disposable barbeques, the burgers ended indistinguitiable from the coals.

Its basicly salted/spiced beef, freind of mine who is from SA brings back the SA equivilant called Biltongue which is pretty nice.

I had a feeling you would not know what beef jerky is yet it was only a suggestion. So the burgers did not work and that is ok because most of us have forgotten about food on the grill at one time or another so just stay in your comfort zone but dont go hungry. :)

The most important thing's the drink and that was all ok. Don't think I'm going to a GP this year tho :(
