Since when is using the team owners last name not a good Idea, this has been common practice in F1 since day one.I bet if Bernie was around when a young Enzo wanted to break away from Alfa Romeo, He would have said Scuderia Ferrari was a bad name also. The worst F1 team name of all time has to be Force India but I heard no complaints from Bernie on that one and he let Super Aguri (translated to Super best friends) go without a problem.

i agree with Super Aguri sounding stupid, but Aguri was another team named after its owner Aguri Suzuki. I think he would have had a copyright and trademark suit against him if he named it simply Suzuki F1 :hehe:

So Bernie, what are your opinions on:

Ferrari, McLaren, Williams, Tyrrell, Stewart, Brabham, Prost, Minardi, Jordan, Cooper, Fittipaldi, Frank Williams Racing Cars, Ligier, March (alright, not named after one specific person, but of the team's founders), Sauber, Surtees and Toleman?

I hope I didn't give the wrong impression I like the name Super Aguri (maybe they can come back if there's a budget cap :) ), It's only the name "Force India" that I'm not crazy about, Either way I don't think Bernie E should publicly voice his opinion on wether or not he likes a team owner's last name. I'd rather teams be named after their founders than have teams with silly names like Force India that belong on a Hot Wheels box.The king of Jack Asses needs to be thrown out of F1 because he's a greedy SOB, egomaniac, that seems to have one goal and that is to make money for himself at the expense of our beloved sport.

I dont really care what the name is so long as they go fast. If they were called Fancy Pants and won everythning then Fancy Pants would be the new cool name :D

How about Cadbury's Team Double Decker Brawn GP as an official team entry name for Brawn with sponsorship from Cadbury's Double Decker chocolate bar? I can imagine Jenson Button doing a Double-Decker commercial in the not too distant future. :P

Well, realistically his only aim should be to make money (from a business point of view). :/

Technically if you really think about it... Braun HAS sponsored the team before.... ;)

Unfortunately Bernie making money for himself at the expense of the whole sport only benefits Bernie. It's the same type of greed that has brought the financial institutes in the USA to their knees. If Bernie has his way F1 would become a NASCAR clone that cares nothing about true racing and everything about sponsorship money.

But from a business perspective, that's exactly the right thing to do. Which is unfortunate, because it's harming the sport we love(d).

He's nothing more than a Financial Dictator and like all dictators needs to be removed from power before he does any more harm.
