I have no doubt at all that she and many others could beat my video game times. You for instance, seem like you would be quite the video game expert. Unfortunately, I have never really found the time to master racing with a joystick or whatever those Playstation doodads are called.

I do my racing in a GT-3 race car, strapped in, surrounded by a cage, and wearing nomex. In truth though, your video game and my race car both have their upsides and downsides. The downside to actual versus video racing is it is much more difficult to drink a beer and race at the same time.....and race gas and hoosiers are much more expensive than video game purchases. The upside though...is I'm actually out racing, not sitting on the couch acting like I know what racing is all about. If I have any questions on cheat codes or how to clean a laser though...I'll give ya a ring, eh?

You haven't driven a F1 car so you can't suggest you know what the f*** its about because a GT-3 Cars is nothing like it.

Example

Your GT-3 cars looking at 0 - 60 is 4sec ish

F1 car is 0-100 in that time the brakes the handling the grip the g-force, the acceleration, the speed everything is times massivly more and you can go and say "i've don GT-3 racing" - great well thats like me saying well you've done GT-3 racing well i've done GO-Karting!!! so there.

because thats the diffrence or close too it.

I know for a fact there's a few people who race for fun around here i do, pretty sure Bud does but we don't go harping on about how we know what the hell its like to drive an F1 car.

The only thing that shows is if your ok at it you understand breaking points apex's when to put the power down etc.. etc..

And FYI there was a GT5 (computer game) compition to find out if they could take a bunch of gamers and make them racers and the guy that won raced a Nissan GTR for Nissan in a few endurance races and has done reasonably well.

You have no idea whether i could beat your time in a race car. But its irrelevant because I was Talking about Ron Denis' achievements and they werent done in a race car, he's a succesful bussinesman not racing driver.

Ron isn't a driver? Imagine that. Who said he was by the way, or are you just saying? As to his making poor decisions as a manager and costing himself a job...that has pretty much been settled at this point so no point hashing it out. He is no longer involved in racing. He has accomplished far more than most, which he should be very proud of...but he lost focus in the end and took his team down a few bad paths. Drivers were out of control, lower level managers making decisions that hurt the team, lying, cheating...all signs of poor management. Hopefully Whitmarsh can bring Mclaren back to what they once were. He could start by not trying to get sideways with the FIA every chance he gets.

As to the track times...gentlemen's wager?
