When i was a kid i just supported the Brits, and i obviously picked up on Button cause Damon Hill retired- i guess i still support JB from that mentality, and Hungary '06 was undoubtedly my favourite F1 moment of recent years :clap: although now, while i'm glad he's doing well, i'm not so arsed because he's no longer the underdog... :confused:

On the other hand, the success is the perfect antidote to his career nearly being destroyed by Honda, doncha think?

Definitely, like i say, i'm not at all complaining with how things are going this season, and it is about time - he is one of 3 drivers who i especially like to see win - i think the reason i say i'm not as arsed as i would have been previously is because for me, a brilliant F1 race takes precidence (to an extent) over seeing 'my' drivers do well... casing point being races like Silverstone, Monaco, Belgium and Brazil last year, Belgium 1995, etc etc. Of course, races like that where your driver/constructor wins are the ultimate preference! (Belgium '98 for example!) :thumbup:

Blimey, you must have loved Hungary '06

Damn straight! :thumbup::director:

I stopped watching most races during the Schumacher dominance (against my better judgement, '03 was a great season!), then 2005 came and gave hope to all the non Schumacher fans that F1 could still be brilliant... then that race in 2006 came along and completely restored my faith in F1. Quite cheesy, i know, but completely true!

I was a supporter of the BAR Honda team back in it's day. Mainly because as a 12 year old I thought they had the best looking car. As the team changed etc however, I'm now a rampant Toyota supporter. Sport in general has it's glory hunters though. Just look at football. Travel to S.E Asia and see how many Man U or Liverpool team shirts you will find, compared to Grimsby Town jerseys. It's the way sport works.

I am glad that button is winning. But I would say that I am more of a fan of Brawn and what he is doing for the team. I am excited to see them do well and I am also curious to see what drivers he choses in the future. How about it, Brawn and Barrichello reunited???

If it was anyone else in a Brawn other than Button I would probably be just as excited. The fact that it is Button is a massive bonus!
