Ayrton will be looking down at this with a wry smile thinking "I wish the FIA would stop ruining race driving" (In a Brazilian accent of course)

Really? Thinking that and not "I sure wish that t**t in the silver car would stop comparing himself and being compared to me"?

Lewis has never compared himself to Senna its just other people who have done that.

Bit harsh all the same i mean i know you dislike Lewis (don't fully understand why) but calling him a T**t is abit harsh.

Some people (myself included) can't like that kind of personality, that's all. In the same way, some people can't like personalities like Vettel and Barrichello. And again, personalities like Raikkonen's people also struggle to like. Just personal preferences.

No, I do recall Lewis mentioning Senna and saying how he used to just pump out lap after lap in quali, and Lewis mentioned he was getting nearly as good at it. Not the exact words, but it was the general point he was making.

Still, I don't criticize him for that. Different drivers go about driving and their mentality different ways. I mean, Massa in comparison heard the very mention of Senna's name said he would never compare himself to Senna ever. Many drivers believe self confidence is the key to winning, and that you have to believe you could win and that you were better before you could ever win. Whilst Jackie Stewart for instance never had that mentality, he never thought he was that great. 3 world championships say otherwise of course. Vettel similar to that is very modest and doesn't seem to think about these things at all. Then you have the finns. You just don't what they're thinking sometimes :hehe:

So as I said, different drivers different mentalities. It's the spice of life.

Too bad for Alonso, hopefully he can fully recover from his burn and ride a comfortable race for his home crowd. I'm on board with everyone else that Kers is pretty bad, and it does increase the risk of something bad happening to a driver...although there are a lot of those in F1. :hehe:

Anyway, good race by Button, that pass with Hamilton was basically the only exciting moment in the race. That and Massa complaining about KERS. Onto Spain updates!

This was supposed to be one of the better races for KERS and, to be honest, I was less impressed in Bahrain than I was in Melbourne and China, to be honest.

You are a very honest man

Far two honest!

That was one boring race. I don't have a TV so I watched it on my friend's TV, who's not an F1 fan.

It finished at 11:30pm and he had to wake up the next day at 5... :hehe:

The highlight of the race was the first and second corners, and then pit stop strategies.

I thought it was pretty good. One of those races where if you know enough about F1, you can see interesting situations developing throughout the race and throughout the field . Also as there was no safety car or rain, it proved the first real form guide of the season. i found it fascinating

Yeah, first proper straight-forward strategical race in a while.

the race was pretty intense in my mind, Vettel was being pressured the whole time in the race...from Ham and Trulli....
i'd say he could have handled better, but he still did a pretty good job

on the other hand, i see that PIQ is pushing himself in this weekend...finally
especially when he got Rubens behind him, i can tell that Rubens was thinking "What the heck are you doing there?!?!" when PIQ was trying to maintain position
anyone caught that?
#112823
yeh Rubens kept raising his hand for REALLY long periods of time behind Piquet. It looked as though he was trying to use 'the force' or something to move the Renault away

Anything's possible when Piquet's infront of you. :hehe:

he was waiving his hand whilst saying "Nelson, you are a backmarker, you will let me through, that is a blue flag you see"

It was a 'fight' for position though, RB probably thought NP was lapped as usual, but he wasn't...
