Can we at least agree on pounds if not kilograms? There are MANY non-Brits on here who don't know how much a frigging stone weighs!

I'm a Brit and even I struggle with the pounds/stone thing, I prefer using kilos too.

As far as I'm aware, Brits only use Old money weights for people and most of us are trying to move that to Kilos too.

What was Barrichellos problem? did he expect Piquet to just move over when he started flapping his hands?

To be fair, who would've thought Piquet would be anywhere near the top ten? He's usually a lap down on everyone :hehe:

Maybe Piquet has found some speed; at last. He needs to start qualifying closer to Alonso.

Sr was there watching his son. Maybe that was a extra push for Jr.
Would have been a drama if he crashed. Imagine crashing and retiring in front of your 3 times WDC dad.

He goes to all the races so he is pretty good at crashing infront of his world champion dad :hehe:

:yikes: Geez, I didn't know that. At least he had a decent race this time.
I wonder if Renault will survive after this season?
ING is pulling out, Flavio is retiring (soon), Alonso is (probably) going to Ferrari or another team since sticking around in Renault isn't going to be much fun.
What will become of Renault?

I would believe Renault will stay in F1 for a good while longer, Flavio has been talking about leaving F1 since 2006 but alas it's 2009 and he is still here.

Like any world champion Alonso will leave Renault if they cant produce a winning car for him. He is with Renault till the end of 2010 anyway.

And ING leaving Renault & F1 in general is no big surprise since they are a bank, RBS are also leaving Williams at the end of this season aswell. I think i read somewhere that Flavio was already in discussion with several indian companies for a major sponsorship deal with Renault.

Expect a very different looking Renault next season. :D

I agree that Renault will improve, but if the press are to be believed in this one, Alonso could go in 2010. :(

This leaves the team in a very bad situation. I realise doubts over its future are still ongoing, but these would be heightened if a replacement for Alonso couldn't be found.

As 07 showed, Renault struggled with Kovalainen as a rookie and Fisi... as... well... Fisi. I realise the team had alot of problems with the Bridgestone tyre and had had their resources drained after their 2006 title fight.

The thing is if Renault do end up pulling out, I believe the Enstone team will be able to carry on, again like Williams with a Cosworth Engine etc. However lets not think like that just now.

Personally I'm not so sure about Grojean, I think if he does get the seat (which he will) he needs an established star in the team. I thought about the likes of Rosberg (but he's surely lined up for Mclaren unless he stays with Williams?)

Bar that Im really not sure, I don't want Trulli for instance, maybe Raikkonen would make the swap ;)? Doubt it though, he'll be off a good old drink.
