The collision in the first corner between Nick, Kubica & Crapajimi made both cars seem slower than they actually are, but to be honest they have failed to keep up with development. And last is where they deserve to be if BMW cant be bothered to keep up with the development race.

Hrm. The new light-weight chassis will need to be pretty good, otherwise I could see Robert walking out mid-season (it's believed that there is a clause in his contract that would allow him to do so should BMW Sauber not be at the desired performance level). At which point, there are several places he could end up, depending on how other drivers' contracts are.

Peter Windsor was saying on Ten Australias coverage before the race (yes we finally have a 1 hour intro to the GP's ) that Alonso was asked the perpetual question "are you going to Ferrari next season" to his reply being Ferrari? id rather go to Brawn!

obviously that means little but if Fernando has signed something its possible that there is a get out clause if Ferrari is not up to pace? so i would think if Ferrari cannot get him they will get Kubica.

BMW have fell into the Grand Canyon of failure this weekend and are going backwards far faster than their cars go forward! Both drivers are obviously not very happy at the moment.

I'm surprised just how poor BMW are. They were talking themselves up for this season after halting their development of the 2008 car and claiming to lightyears ahead of everybody with KERS. Serious questions need to be asked.
