Well I have been a Jenson fan since his first season and he was the reason I started watching F1. I have followed him ever since. Although obviously when Lewis came along it was perfectly fine to cheer for him as well but my heart has always been with Jens! :)

End of the day in my opinion, team fandom etc etc is always second to the sport itself. I am a fan of F1 first and always foremost as I am with many other Motor Racing series.

Right I won't have any user calling another user a "fake fan" unless they have concrete evidence. Understand?

It would do my blood pressure some good. As the folks who were on in the Chats will testify, I damn near had heart attacks over Rounds 1 and 2.

I tend to think it's Fernando and then Kimi, but the latter is more prone to de-motivation. When he is motivated, I reckon Kimi's faster than any of them. But Fernando is almost as (Not much less) quick, but pretty much all the time.

Behind them it's an all-out brawl between Hamilton, Jenson, Kubica & Nico Rosberg.

I do not think it is right people jumping on the bandwagon with jenson winning in the new Brawn...I can see this maybe a controvercial topic but there are a limited number that have supported him all the way through like him being almost last, last season. Its like people supporting Man U just because the're winning all i have to say is GLORY SUPPORTERS.

Thank you very much I thought i was the only one...Pheww :P

I have supported hamilton through it all and still with him now in the hard times so it shows you loyalty pretty well doesnt it!

Sorry but these two posts annoy me no end. I hate people who go around calling others glory hunters in any sport. In the case of F1, just because they haven't supported a team or a driver for 80 years it doesn't mean that for some reason they don't have the same right to be passionate. I'm someone who supports the Brits in F1, and so I'm more likely to be keeping a closer eye on the ones who are doing better. For example, Jenson hadn't been much to watch over the last two seasons, but that doesn't mean that if he hadn't done something of note I wouldn't have been cheering on. Are you calling yourself one of 'the limited number that have supported him all the way through?' What are you looking for? People to respect you? A pat on the back? If you genuinely support someone then you shouldn't care what other people think and what other people do, and you definitely shouldn't be constantly trying to defend your own reputation as a "diehard fan" by slagging off others. From what my experience tells me, that's the textbook reaction of an over-defensive 'glory supporter.'

Onto the point about Lewis. For a start I love how you say 'through it all;' much as I support Lewis, he hasn't exactly had many lows since he got into motorsport; he's won everything he's competed in at the first attempt except twice. And I seriously doubt you were supporting him when he was still a teenager coming fifth in the Formula Three Euroseries. Lewis has now had a tough start to the new season, and is still finishing in impressive positions considering the car he's in. But stop trying to portray yourself as the hardcore fan who's been watching Lewis since he was karting and has stuck with him through 5 years of finishing in 20th place. Even if he had, you wouldn't have a right to slag off others who started supporting him, but just to be content with yourself for sticking with him through thick and thin.

I've been supporting him for two seasons and 3 races, much like most Hamilton supporters on this site I'm sure. Because of the excitement he's given me in the last two years of my life, he's always the one I'm most excited about doing well, wherever Jenson is. But to be quite honest I'm dead proud of both of their efforts. They're two Brits doing a fantastic job for themselves and the country. Perhaps we should celebrate in that rather than try and judge other people's right to support them.
