Very interesting.

Especially the similarities to the change of Michael Schumacher to Ferrari are astonishing.
Before the change of Michael became known it was Gerhard Berger(in that time Ferrari driver) who speculated first that Michael would join the Scuderia.
A few weeks later it announced publicity.

I hope that Gerhard will be right again.
At the moment Fernando is the best driver for Ferrari.
He knows how to win,how to motivate a team and how to get the best out of a car.

I am sure Alonso will fight for wins this season, and if he can then why not the championship? Renault against all odds last season turned the performance of the R28 around midway through the season to pass out BMW and come close to the pace of Ferrari & McLaren. This year everything is all over the place, so nothing is impossible.

Naturally I want the same, however it appears to be some sort of "destiny" for Alonso to join the Scuderia :(

Its not his claimed destiny i'm talking about. What i'm saying is that Alonso looks destined to go to Ferrari.

I don't think it will be happening until the end of 2010, and even then. What if in 2010 Ferrari & Renault are evenly matched? He might decide to stay.

Alonso belongs at Renault! :(

If Alonso has signed a contract to go to Ferrari then his current work ethic, and performance just ooze class. What a professional. He could take things easy and cruize thru this year but what do we see?....... A guy still positive and doing everything he can to get results for himself and the team.

Lets face it, Ferrari are down at the moment but that wont be long term. They will be back.....and if they have Alonso WOW!!!! That would be a dream team that could dominate for years to come. Then Mercedes, who are making noises about grabbing Vettel, put him at Mclaren we could have a great era of F1, the old dog Alonso against the new kids Hamo and Vettel. :hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

Then again there may be no Ferrari contract and Alonso may stay at Renault. Personally I reckon Ferrari have rocks in their heads if they dont pick up Alonso.Massa isnt that good and Kimmi has lost the plot.

On the subject of Kimmi, he will leave F1 as a bit of an under achiever. OK he won a WDC but it was kinda handed to him due to some unusual circumstances. He has been sort of drifting thru on his reputation and not living up to his potential. I reckon he will be remembered that way, as a lazy punk with heaps of potential who never really grew up and gave his employers what they paid for.

Dont quite get the Alonso luv-in, but thats just me. Yes he may relish a confrontation with the new young guns, just so long as they're not in his team.Kindov spoilt it for me Alonso has, which is a shame cos the old blue Alonso gear looked cool!

The mild seven Renault was one of the best looking cars, specially in 2004, 2005. The ING colours are not as good, this years colours are particularly funky.

Got a vest top (only used for gardening or the gym now) Gave away the hoodie when he kicked off in 2007. Shame, I liked it.
