Once again, What's the point of all this? if all the teams start running the same system then it really takes the technical innovation aspect out of it and becomes nothing more than a very expensive push to pass button. With all the talk about budget caps and common engines it seems to me if F1 wanted the teams to be more frugal than this should be the first thing to be ditched.

You have to think. If they bring in budget caps, which they pretty much need to. Teams will simply decide KERS is a waste of money, and that their money can be invested in other areas which will bring more performance without un-balancing the cars.

KERS will go. Even if the FIA are thick enough not to realise its no good. The teams will eventually give it up.

Have you even watched a race? or are you just basing your opinion on the regs and drivers involved? You see im aracing fan, I watched the last race of A1 and it had very entertaining racing key word for a motorsport fan! so whats your problem? Talk of gimmicks, maybe A1 can bring in moveable wings and green striped tyres with a hell of alot of politics getting headlines instead of the racing key word for a motorsport fan!
Yeah its no F1 but so what? There was some good battles! Whats wrong with a push to pass button? it has a tactical game of cat and mouse with driver to driver choosing when to use it and when not to. its another tool for the driver to take advantage of.

I've had enough of your holier than thou attitude bud. Yes I have watched A1GP, I pursued it with real interest at first, and found it lacking in quality. I revisited it a couple of time since and found it to be not much better.

Just because I disagree with you on the fundamentals of rules or on the quality of a series does not make me less of a motorsport fan than you. If you can't argue your case on the issue then concede - agree to disagree. Do not resort to belittling your opponent, it's tiresome. If that's how you choose to debate the issue of KERS, I'm not interested in discussing it with you. Hate the game not the player.

Here we go again or rather here we are NOT going to go again. Take it to pm so this thread can stay on topic. Opinions are like a-holes and most of them stink unless you like the smell but this thread will not be turned into another 'UFC' match between individual members.
