This would be mine...

Team organization: Mclaren
They are definitely the most structured and organized team. Even with the big recent mess, they've shown organization and coherence. Also, they have the best resources of any team.

Engine: Mercedes-Benz
Proven to be perhaps the quickest engine around, also the most reliable.

Designer: Adrian Newey
What can I say? Freaking genious.

Team director: Ross Brawn
Incredible manager, cuts through the BS like a knife. Sharp strategist.

Drivers: Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel
Both are damn quick, aggressive, and very clever. Vettel's coolness complements Lewis' fire nicely. An awesome combo.

So, what's your dream team setup? :D

Resources - McLaren, they do basically outstrip all the other teams when it comes to R+D resources

Engine - In house, the way it should be

Technical Direction - Ross Brawn is a must for any self respecting dream team, Newey brings too many reliability and development issues for me

Sponsors - None! Private funding so there is no corporate bs

Drivers - My top 4 guys are Kimi, Rosberg, Alonso and Vettel but if I had to choose two out of those, it would be on the basis of excitement so as Kimi and Vettel are drinking buddies, I would go with those 2. Of course there would have to be an entire team of staff to keep Kimi motivated...

I almost totally agree

I'd have to go with RBR, Mclaren seems to be screwing up at every opportunity they can (spygate, Spa 08, OZ this year )

With or without the KERS system ? I'd say without Electric cars don't need to be in F1.

You forgot super nice guy. He's been on a roll for his whole racing career. 14 F1 titles are hard to dismiss.

I'd add in a seasoned driver like Rubens for car development, and a better PR person for Lewis, to tame his off track antics and keep him focussed.

General team - RBR, they seem to be a generally decent and fun bunch of people, and from what i've seen, the frendliest team in the paddock.
Engine - Merc, although i don't think the Toyota one is too bad if maybe a touch less powerful than the Merc, it's also the most reliable engine out there (no failures for a few seasons now). I'd have Macca's KERS though
Drivers - Alonso and Vettel - the best all around driver and the best up and comer seems like a good combo, Vettel would be alright playing the second driver for the moment to keep Alonso sweet if need be!
Designer - Rory Byrne and Newey working in tandem
Tech Director/Strategist - Ross Brawn

Team:Mclaren

Pretty much for the same reasons above slick outfit.

Engine:Merc
Best Overall Engine in F1

Designers:Gorden Murry, Adrian Newly and Colin Chapan
Possibly the 3 best designers in F1 and its my dream team and you didn't say they had to be in F1 currently.

Team Principle:Ross Brawn

Drivers:Aryton Senna :( and Micheal Schumacher

Because we'd all have fun finding out who was the best while between them they won every race in the season.

Oh man, that (italics) changes everything! I'd go with what you have, except with a turbocharged Honda engine and Gilles Villeneuve in place of Schumacher (i know he's one of the best ever, but it's my bloody team :D ).

I don't think Colin Chapman or Senna could add much to the team in their present state of being dead. :(

Well i was going off current regs 8-)

But i decided to find a loophole in the fact Kerc failed to mention that the drivers/designers didn't have to be current. :P

please don't take me to court and call me arrogant tho :P

I would like to appeal that ruling, as I don't think it adheres to the "spirit of the rules" in which case I would like to add to my Team with the Ferrari Lawyers, I know they lost recently but their track record for appeals is quite good.

Max Mosley is my lawyer.

Right then, time for my all time team!

Resources - McLaren, they still have the best resource ever seen in F1

Engine - Probably a Matra or Ferrari 12 on sound alone!

Technical direction - Still Brawn, I would go with Chapman but I reckon i would probably want my drivers to survive the season...

Sponsors - Gulf!

Drivers - Micheal Schumacher and Pedro Rodriquez. The best ever and a an extremely talented steady driver who was a master of failing machinery and dangerous conditions, while not quite having the ultimate pace to take points of Schumi when the going is good

Team organization: Brawn
They need a little work in terms of middle-management, but their facilities are amongst the best, and their right near Silverstone for testing and shakedowns.

Engine: Mercedes Benz
Seems to be better than the BMW and Ferrari powerplants right now. If the Cosworth proves decent, I would go for that for the sake of cost though.

Designers: Geoff Willis & Jorg Zander
Designed the BAR 006 and the BGP-001, two supremely neat and very rapid cars.

Team director: Ross Brawn
Well, obviously.

Drivers: Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson
Superstar and unsung hero.
