Lithium - nirvana .

Just over 15 years since we lost Kurt now... RIP. Nirvana were my favourite band back in the day.

I like some of Nirvana's songs but I like The Foo Fighters more, Dave Grohl is awesome.

He's more than awesome, he is basically god to me!

I've seen the Foos about 6 times now and it never grows old... especially when he's rocking out on the platform about a metre from you in the crowd.

I've met Chris Shifflet (guitarist) at a Jackson United gig - they're his 'other' band - i recommend to anyone who likes punk/rock!

I met all of the band after their last tour here in Glasgow.

Here's a pic of Dave Grohl I managed to snap behind the fence.

I'm really getting into all that 1980s-1990s alternative American stuff...

Nice! I was at that gig too, Glasgow crowds are usually great, if a bit OTT sometimes I heard they (the Foo's) got in trouble for smoking indoors during that bit before the encore...!

gilles27 - any recommendations for a Sonic Youth album to start off with? Been meaning to give them a proper listen for a long time, y'see.

Haha! That bit was hillarious, typical Dave and Taylor messing around. I think that happens with alot of American bands, they come over hear it and are like WTF?
I remember the Bloodhound gang making fun of it last year.

Over the top how ?

[scotty]

Put it this way, most people just get 'nicely' drunk and go to a gig but you lot seem to go one step beyond that! It's good that the crowd is rowdier though, the thing i hate about big gigs is that they can lack atmosphere...
