funny thing.. Adrian Newey still pens the car by hand. He then give the drawings to the engineer and then they go into the computer.. I believe this is way more art then science.. The brain and our imagination are still better than computer IMO for 2009.. Ask Brawn, ask Newey.

Really? When Stewart F1 was created, they made a big thing about how their car design was a paperless process.

Yup, Newey is more of a hand-job man, doesn't even own a puter (according to SpeedTV).

Yes that was my source DD

Newey wasn't with Stewart F1 when it was created (if you're saying Newey was there when it started), he was still with Williams helping Damon take the title against Sir Frank's wishes (he wanted JV to win the title just to have the number 1 on his car, and Newey was leaving along with Hill).

Yes, I did know that. It was back in the Alan Jenkins days (whatever happened to him?). Newey came along a lot later after a spell in McLaren where rumours had him interested in America's cup yachts.

Oh, and I don't believe for a minute the conspiracy theories that claimed that Frank Williams favoured JV over DH.

Boss downplays talk of scrapping Ferrari's season
Monday 20th April 2009

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has downplayed his own comments that Ferrari could write off this year's campaign, saying it's still early to make such a call.

Sunday's point-less race in China saw Ferrari record their worst start to a Championship since 1980 as the Italian outfit has yet to score a single World Championship point in three races.

It's a depressing fact for the tifosi, which was further compounded by Domenicali's reaction to Shanghai when he hinted that his team could write off this year's campaign to focus on their attention on producing a better car for next season.

Asked by Autosport whether there was thought of turning their attention to 2010, Domenicali said: "I think for sure we will see after Spain where we are. In that period we will see really what can be the situation - so when we come back to Europe basically."

But, now a few hours later and away from the heat of the momentre, the Scuderia's team boss admits perhaps it's still a bit too early for such talk.

"We need to stay cool," he told The Independent. "There is no reason to get in a panic mode because that would be worse.

"In the first three races there were so many things that came out and that changed the situation radically that we need to keep on pushing. It's too early to draw too easy a conclusion now after only three races."

So spain is make or break for Ferrari. Seams sensible.

It's crazy to think that for all their success, Williams rarely actually had a number 1 car...
