have you ever had one of them moments were you just need a win, well this is mine .
I took a good luck at the odds for the race and have gone for Lewis to win £40 e/w @ 20/1 cos i am going to the spanish GP and the holiday firm freedom direct i booked with have just gone bust...... so come on Lewis, i have also done the lottery lol

Did you book the tickets using your credit card? If so, you can claim the lost money back from the credit card company.

Some debit cards, e.g. I believe Visa debit, offer the same protection. Contact the consumer action group and describe your problem.

You also need to check if yo paid the holiday direct or if there was an intermediary payment company, Like paypall or theres one called cheques-something or other? Thnere are lots of them and lots of companies use them If yo've paid through one of those you're not covered at all. Its a loophole.

Yes, it's complicated. The OP should, in my opinion, post a full summary on the consumer action group.

Ive been stung recently this way for £1300 for a tele. Company went bust , no cover because they took payments through an intermediary. It needs clearing up.
