If you big yourself up, expect to be judged accordingly.

In the 2007 Chinese Grand Prix, Hamilton dived in the pits going too quickly, failing to appreciate the pit lane is wetter than the track. A rookie error if there ever was one.

Two weeks later, he half-botched his chances with more red mist in the very first lap. I don't buy for a second that his car malfunctioned a little late in the race. It seems to me like another example of McLaren covering up for their drivers' screw ups.

And I am supposed to be grateful for Hamilton making less mistakes than some of the others in 2008? The fact is Hamilton was too inconsistent and nearly blew another title.

No Hamilton had no tread on his tires in china and turned and nothing happaned he slid wide people were doing it today in the dry and he was a rookie?

People seam to forget that your being way to hard on a driver thats only in his 3rd season of f1 and is already a WDC.

I'd rather have Hamilton in Mclaren than any other driver simply because of his potential as well as his skill

Like I say, if you talk yourself up, expect to be judged by those standards.

Alright saying that but he didnt' exactly go boasting that he was the greatest did he.

He won our 1st WDC in 10 years mate and gave a great season of exciting racing.

And i think all this stuff about him leaving is BS and the fact Ron is going off to do Mclaren car's is just coincidence and has nothing to do with Ant Hamilton forcing Ron out the thought of that is daft.

I've never especially liked Hamilton. The latest scandal and its aftermath is only another thing to add on to a pretty long list of gripes about him. One of my main problems with Hamilton is not so much that he is disloyal to McLaren and is looking out only for himself, but that he sleekly tries to claim he is loyal to McLaren and is a team player.

I'm not sure if he is or isn't think its abit like all racing drivers there a team player when everythings going well.

But when things turn crap its the teams fault not his same with all racing drivers really.

Can't think of one Loyal driver in F1.

Hakkinen would be a good start. He went to McLaren on the premise their form would soon pick up. When it didn't, causing his market value to decline, he still elected to stay on at the team. When Mercedes came on board in 1995, Hakkinen got going a good relationship with them, which really settled their partnership with McLaren. After a lot of years of pain, frustration and an ability which was inadequately rewarded with two drivers' titles, Hakkinen still kept (and keeps) close ties with McLaren and Mercedes.

But even if all Formula One drivers are morally bankrupt, it doesn't affect my point. Senna, Schumacher, Alonso and many others made/make no pretences; Hamilton spews patronising platitudes on a regular basis.

That he absolutely adores McLaren and wants to drive for no other team is one them.

To be fair i think that was pretty true after winning the WDC

He's said it plenty of other times. Like just after he tried to broker a deal for a race seat with Williams.
