Was pretty much standard under performing car Alonso strategy he did it last year in Spain.

I cant see anyway he can keep the Brawns behind him. And I expect Lewis to be in the mix too. He's in as good a position as Alonso and he has KERS.

Yeah if Lewis can get past Kimi at the start then I expect a fight between Alonso and Lewis later on in the race

In fact, Alonso has not KERS in this GP, as Ferrari due a battery deflagration.

Even fuel corrected i think it'll still have been a damn good lap by him considering the car - i'd expect a points finish from him tomorrow, although Alonso is probably the last person it'd count out to pull out a good result. I think he made more of a joke of Piquet than he ever has before in quali today too :hehe:

Most people forget that Piquet exists until he causes an accident! Piquet needs to go that was clear last season but now it's just a complete joke!

The surprise was actually that Renault/Alonso and Red Bull opted for such an agressive strategy. But I think this is the only way of at least trying something with the R29 right now. Very well done by Red Bull as well... as we all know there is very little to do vs the Brawns except fuel lighter.

I dont think Renault has a real shot at a podium, but at least he can scratch in for some pts. Red Bull have better possibilities for a podium...

Hmm. Wasn't Alonso pretty quick at Singapore when Piquet crashed? Could something similar be in the works for this weekend? :P
