Hi Guys

I'm needing some help trying to locate an Electronic Ignition System for a 1975 Toyota Hi Ace with a 1.6L Petrol Engine. I have been googleing and emailing various companies but just thought there may be someone on here who may know where I would find one.

Thanks

Are you looking for a stock ecu or aftermarket? If you want to control all the fun look into an Autronic SM2.

I am looking for the Electronic Ignition System to replace the old distribution points. There isn't any stock electronics for it as it is was built in 1975

That is my point, why not just go full ems? I understand they are rather pricey but well worth the money.

How easy is it to get a ems then and where would I get one?

Do some research and then decide on one that will fit your budget but you are gonna spend atleast $2K.

Just a little update on this situation. After a painful search of ebay I may have found a set of points, they look like they are the right ones but as with everything else with a engine of this age I won't be sure until I have them in my hand to measure and compare them. I will still be looking at electronic ignitions though not a EMS as they are too expensive compared to the value of the motor.

Just like to add that the engine model number is 12R 1600cc
