a silly point- as i know that the rules of f1 are as daft as those in golf.

However- during the race yesterday KOVALAINEN whilst on the wrong tyres was told by his engineer to let fizzy through (broadcast on the telly)- yes he was going through on wrong tyres- but surely these would be classed as team orders to let a team driver through for position.

is this allowed ?

There's a thin line between team orders and team tactics, I think in that case Kovalainen was slower so it made sense for the team to allow Fisichella passed to not compromise his race too. Had it been the last corner, and Kovalainen moved out of the way to let Fisichella win, then that would be an altogether different issue.
