It seems like there's already rumblings of a FIA conspiracy towards Brawn racing. There's the late Safety Car in Australia and now Braun's been given the advantage of being able to run their Highly illegal diffusers. I would like to throw a different conspiracy into the mix.
Mclaren's management is obviously not thinking straight about this whole lie gate scandal. Form the very start it seemed like a stupid position to put the team and the WDC driver in for a couple of points and a shiny plate. They must have known they would get caught, and that's were my theory starts.
Toyota last year obviously let Hamilton pass him to take the WDC win last year, Whitmarsh paid off the struggling Toyota team to let Lewis pass. The incident in Australia this year was nothing more than a smoke screen so any suspicions of those 2 teams working together would be thrown out after the first race. It would explain why Mclaren's management and Lewis went along with the whole farce, to protect the previous years championship. Better to lose points now, than to get your championship stripped from last year.
