What's infinitely annoying about that race is that it should have been a Williams 1-2, although I was just as happy to see DC out-class Schumacher in the wet.

Oh how I'd love to see one of those this year. But knowing luck, Nico will be winning with Nakajima in second and then Kimi will do a kamikaze move on Nakajima whilst being lapped.

I dunno...Naka in second...Are we to assume that most of the other cars would have crashed?

I couldn't deal with that twice in a lifetime. I was genuinely gutted when Jos hit Juan. Although I guess Ralf's dominance at Imola made up for it. If only that guy had put in some more effort during his career...

This was the time when Ralf was quite decent and he hadn't let his ego and demand for excessively high wages kick in yet.

Yup. That Ralf was deserving of championship glory. It's a real shame that he went down the route he did, 'cause he was fast.

Nakajima is fast, just inconsistent. If he can eradicate the latter quality, he'd be the best Japanese F1 driver yet, in my opinion.

Sadly like it or not, it was moves like that prevented him from ever being the World Champion.

Had he kept up his form and attitude of 2001, he would have been one. Provided he ended up at a team that could provide him with a championship-winning car, of course.

Problem with that is, he didn't do himself many favours in terms of getting a drive. He was quite the moaner.

He had alot of off races too, that never helped him throughout his career. He had the odd drive in 2005 for Toyota that was reasonable - but remember one of the main reasons he went to Toyota: To bolster his bank account.

I don't disagree with that. But had he maintained the kind of form that we had seen, it was entirely possible. I honestly thought, when he first came in to the sport, Juan would be a champion.

Yes that is true. However I still didn't see him as standout when he entered F1. That was just my personal opinion.

Yes that is true. However I still didn't see him as standout when he entered F1. That was just my personal opinion.
