Same as Denthul, I get sick of people wondering why I dont support someone like Lewis... 'But hes British' SO WHAT ? Just because Im British and he is British does not mean that I am bound to him and must support him.

 It is utter rubbish.

Indeed so.

Absolutely! Now a nice Columbian

You know, I'm gonna come out and say it. I liked Juan Pablo. He was a funny guy. He had moments of jerkiness (Who doesn't though?), but he was generally a cool enough guy.

And if you'd read my post correctly you'd have noticed this part

"What is a seperate issue, is would they want to take a new driver mid season, probably not"

Do I have to spell out that in Brawn's case a mid season swap would not be an ideal move? Get over your problem with Lewis and do as you request others to do. Read posts properly!
And I dont think you're being fair to the previous poster, this is an F1 forum and there have been far too many political arguements on it.

I did read that part, and it does not change the fact that your assertion that they would want Lewis at all is not accurate, because he is the wrong choice for Brawn GP.

My problem with Lewis is that he is overhyped and a spoiled brat - until that changes, I do not intend to "get over it". Those are just two of the reasons I think he is the wrong choice for Brawn, as you would know if you'd actually read my argument.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with that last sentence. What I said to the previous poster was to stop accusing members of our forum of being racists. I'm not going to dispute your assertion, but I fail to see in what way it renders my wish that people stop accusing those who dislike Lewis of being racists "unfair".

I'm sick to death of people who like Lewis telling those of us who do not that we should "let it go" or "get over it" or whatever. He has mountains of praise and support, a bit of dissent is not a bad thing. Quite aside from which, if he is brought up - particularly when he has done wrong or when he is being pumped up as great, it is quite obvious he is going to take criticism.

If you'd been on this thread earlier you'd have seen lots of references to people's sexuality, racial references and sexist comments. This is I think what the previous poster was not happy about.

The thing about lewis works both ways. I have no desire to make people like lewis if they don't, thats their perrogative but just as you get fed-up with people coming to his defence so people who support him get fed up with the name-calling "spoiled brat" etc. Yo don't know him and those sort of comments serve no useful purpose.

Finally I agree Brawn would not be the best place for lewis at the moment, I didnt say it would be.

I was just re-watching the 2001 Brazilian grand prix on Saturday. Take that, Michael! :D

Also, what the <Edited for Content> was Verstappen thinking? I cringed when it happened in 2001, and I cringed on Saturday. And still Juan Pablo was happy!

My dispute with the previous poster was over the generalised way the issue was discussed.

Yuh-huh.

What's infinitely annoying about that race is that it should have been a Williams 1-2, although I was just as happy to see DC out-class Schumacher in the wet.

I echo and fully agree with what Racechick has said .

Things have been said by OTHER posters that I think are inapproriate.
If the thread is read through in its entirety it becomes apparent.Who the persons at fault are here.

Oh how I'd love to see one of those this year. But knowing luck, Nico will be winning with Nakajima in second and then Kimi will do a kamikaze move on Nakajima whilst being lapped.

:hehe:

I couldn't deal with that twice in a lifetime. I was genuinely gutted when Jos hit Juan. Although I guess Ralf's dominance at Imola made up for it. If only that guy had put in some more effort during his career...

This was the time when Ralf was quite decent and he hadn't let his ego and demand for excessively high wages kick in yet.
