1-equestrianism is dangerous?!
2-Motorsport is the most wasteful, harmful, pointless leisure pursuit on the planet.
uhm...what about war, to say but one...

but IN SOME WAY he is right, well everybody should do something and all the motorsports should do something, he is wrong when he talks just of F1, but motorsport involves cars, bikes, and in a little part motorboat...so the whole world of motorsports is dangerous, not just F1!!!

Typical of a journalist with an agenda. Max Mosley didn't just say the sport has to change, it will be changing in a few years to keep the cars more environmentally friendly.

But what a prick this guy is. China, India etc. are producing billions of tons of carbon every day for dear sake so stopping a few Formula One cars going round a track is not going to make a big difference.

Furthermore, contrary to what the media are feeding us all, climate change being caused by so-called 'greenhouse gases' is not proven.

Each F1 drivers emissions are somewhere over 10 times that of the average briton, that's 22 times 10 compared to 60 million. OK so there's a lot more people involved in other motorsports too but it's still a small drop in the ocean compared to worldwide industry, transport and energy. That being said though, I'll be quite happy to see motorsport looking at greener alternatives and that is something that could possibly help in the development of more efficient or alternative power for road cars.

If a team can make their car go 4 miles/gallon instead of 3.5 that's something like 12.5% more efficient, if there's something like that that could be applied to road cars imagine the reduction in worldwide emissions!

what he has forgotten, is the additional fuel used in motorsports... transporters, aircraft etc. however, if motorsports were banned it would make NO difference to global warming...

Mortorsports is dangerous, more dangerous that pro boxing... ok, but if you average out deaths per professional in major motorsports vs boxing or any other sports, i think suddenly motorsports would come off pretty well.

Some damn tree hugger looking for attention. The person who wrote that should be brought to an F1 race and put their head right next to Ferrari's exhaust pipe and have the engine started and revved to 15,000 RPM...... :D
