Q. If Davey and Lewis had told the stewards that there was no call to pass Jarno, and yet on the radio transcript it was clear that it was. How come when they came back from the stewards, and even in passing conversation, they did not mention that? And how come no one said, we are going to get busted for that?

MW: It is clearly on the radio, and I think that the questions that were put were Davey interrupted a question that was put to Lewis, so he maintains that they did not answer the question which was: Was he asked to repass? And Lewis was asked, did you slow up to allow Trulli past? And Lewis said no, and at the time he had justified it to himself because as the telemetry later showed, he did not particularly slow up, he pulled over.

The two I am sure were uncomfortable, but we were not aware. And I've said to Davey: Did you deny the radio conversation? And his response on Thursday evening, was dont be ridiculous. Charlie was sat there. Charlie heard it, and it is recorded, how could I have done that? What I believe he did was, when Lewis was asked about it, before Lewis gave an answer, Davey interrupted the questioning and that is the start of this misdirection.

This is why the meetings need to be minuted or recorded in some way so we know who said what.

I think lewis is just somone who does as he is told.

The car's gremlins in Brazil, 2007
Crashing into the back of Alonso in Bahrain, 2008
Crashing into the back of Raikkonen in the pit lane in Canada, 2008
Lying to the stewards in Australia, 2009

Hamilton was not to blame for any.:yawn:

You forgot to mention a very significant incident, Hungary '07... so much for doing what he's told then.

Yeah, so I did. I'm sure there are other things we could come up if we put our minds to it, such as previous attempts to leave McLaren etc.

Yeh but Lewis didn't actuly LEAVE Mclaren. Your beliving this media BS too much mate because thats all it is. and Hungary 07 was 50/50

He almost won the WDC in 07 and was a dam sight better to the team than that backstabber Alonso who tried everything to get his own way including getting us banned from the WCC.

You said it yourself Renault and Toyota spied also but Mclaren got duck.

Because of him.

Don't get me wrong Alonso is a fantastic driver and he would be good for Mclaren with Hekki but if another good rookie Joins Mclaren were gonna see the same old s*** all over again.

Mclaren get massive massive publicty out of Lewis and they've just got a WDC i don't belive any of this s*** the media are saying about him leaving based on the fact there trying to dam hard to make it the case such as mis quoting haug as i posted before.

You could quite easily say that Lewis lost McLaren both championships at Hungary.

How do you mean he lots both championships Hungary?

Had Hungary not happened, Alonso would likely not have thrown the strop and threatened Dennis with the spying emails.

It was 50/50 Lewis wanted his way and Alonso acted like a smart arse to f*** lewis over.

That didnt justfy Alonso to Blackmail Mclaren tho.

At the same time it is tit for tat. So are you saying it is alright for Hamilton to do what ever the hell he wants?
So it's ok for him to lie? To be very forceful with drivers on track? etc etc etc And get away with it?

It wasn't exactly fifty-fifty - Lewis was the instigator.

I've said 100s of times it was wrong for him to lie.

Yes lewis was the instigator but Alonso's stunt cost the points.

as for his on track antics its racing not ballet

It was a different story when it came to Schumacher, though? (I'm not talking about driving in to other cars, before you start)

Exactly. Double standards.

Do all topics end in a Schumacher / Hamilton debate?

I hated Schumacher** in his early years, I thought he was overly aggressive, (especially against my favorite drivers), but eventually realized that's what made him so great and entertaining. I imagine if you were a Schumacher fan from the start you probably enjoyed his aggressive behavior and his press conference ego, regardless of who he was putting down or running into.
It's identical to how Hamilton fans feel about his driving and statements to the press now. I can overlook Hamilton's off track stupidity, because I like and enjoy his on-track behavior. Yes at times he's overly aggressive, but i'd rather he was aggressive than drove around endlessly behind slower cars. With a couple of years behind him (if that happens) I think he will mature to be a safer driver, in the same way Schumacher** did.
** Schumacher is being used purely to state a point and I am in no way saying Hamilton is as great as Schumacher... yet.
